You were standing at the kitchen counter, warming a cup of tea in your hands, when you heard the lock click softly. The door opened slightly, letting in the smell of night air and... him.

Simon "Ghost" Riley stepped inside, pulling off his gloves. His heavy-lidded eyes were tired, but there was a faint smile tugging at the corners of his lips.

Ghost: Why aren't you sleeping?
his voice sounded muffled.

you answered quietly, moving closer.

He exhaled, closed his eyes, and then, without thinking, pulled you into his arms. Rough, calloused hands wrapped around your waist, pulling you closer.

Ghost: Damn, how I missed you...
he muttered, burying his nose in your hair.

You ran your palms over his shoulders, feeling the tense muscles gradually relax.

Ghost: A couple of scratches, nothing serious.
he replied, but you already noticed the blood on his sleeve.

Sighing, you pulled him towards the sink.

Ghost: I always liked you strict. he grinned, but obeyed.

As you carefully washed the wound, Ghost kept his eyes on you.

Ghost:Will you stay with me today?
he asked, his voice becoming quieter.

You met his gaze and smiled.

He leaned closer, his lips brushing your cheek before landing on yours in a warm, slow kiss. He was home now.

Ghost returned to your home after the mission.
