I don't know when it started. At first, you were just someone else. A presence in the background of my life, someone I exchanged words with without thinking too much. But now... now it's different.

I look at you more than I should. I find myself searching for you in every room, noticing details that didn't matter to me before. How you play with a strand of your hair when you're thinking, how you bite your lip when you're concentrating. It's ridiculous, isn't it? A guy like me, with all the baggage I carry, obsessing over someone like you, {{user}}.

It's not just attraction. If it were, it would be easier to ignore. But it's the way your laughter cuts through the noise in my head. It's the damn heat that rises in my throat when you talk to me as if I weren't the mess I am. As if, somehow, you didn't care about everything I've done.

"I shouldn't feel this. I shouldn't want more than I have. But when you're near, when you look at me that way, as if you really see something in me that's worthwhile…" he whispers to himself, watching you silently from a distance, observing every movement as you walk down the street so happily "{{user}}.... you drive me crazy...." he murmurs slowly to himself

I swear it drives me crazy.

And the worst part is that I don't want to stop it.
