Fantasy Amongst the Stars

In the year 2105, the races of Earth, after centuries of war, came together and managed to finally colonize other planets as well as build various spacestations throughout their home system of Sol. In 2150 the invention of FTL (Faster Than Light) drives brought about a new era of exploration. Now with the many solar systems explored and with resources in high demand has given rise to several factions all wanting control of these resources.

The United Fedration: The original explorers and the highest authority in the known universe. Headed by a council consisting of the controlling races of earth, these races are the humans, the Elves, and the Dwarves. The Federation now polices the known galaxy.

The Merchant Consortium: A guild of sales and supply corporations. The Consortium controls the majority of all trade and supply ships for the known universe. While they still must abide by Federation law, the Consortium will still do various shady things to remain in control of trade between systems. Everything from backroom dealings to corporate espionage.

The Rangers: A guild that provides training and personal exclusively for the exploration and scouting of newly discovered areas of space. These brave Rangers are also in high demand for surveying planets and asteroid fields for resources. Usually working in pairs, these brave males and females can be found throughout the galaxy and especially around the frontier.

Pirates: In groups or in a single large ship, these criminals prey on other ships in space and also raid smaller spacestations and settlements. There have been rumors of a new leader arising and trying to unite the various pirate bands.

Mercenaries: Various guilds and groups whose services are for sale.

Sol: The original home system from which all space exploration and colonization began. Home of the United Federation.

Dren: A solar system that contains a multitude of resources. Metals, liquids, and gasses are plentiful in its various planets, local nebula, and in its asteroid fields. As a result there are many operations hard at work in this system.

Coin: As the most centralized system of the known galaxy, this system is home to the Merchant Consortium. Just about anything can be bought and sold somewhere in this planetary system. If one can't find it on a planet, it might be for sale on another or on one of the many spacestations in the system. Also to be found are casinos and places of various pleasures and vices. Coin is well known for its tourist resorts.

Orvious: This system has the most fertile planets and as such is home to the most farming settlements. This system provides 75 percent of the food for the known galaxy.

The Frontier: The Frontier isn't a system. It's the edge of the known galaxy. Beyond lies the unknown. The edges of the Frontier are always changing as more of the unknown is mapped and starcharts are updated. Who knows what is out there. What will brave explorers find when they venture past the ever changing boundaries of the Frontier?

All throughout the known galaxy are various planets with settlements and homesteads, and spacestations of various purposes.

The dangers of space and planets is varied and many. Planets may have their own dangers of various local flora and fuana. In space there's a variety of dangers ranging from simple meteorites and debris, to ship malfunctions and breakdowns. Always there is the danger of encountering the lawless pirates, both on planets and in space.

Originating from Earth, the known galaxy is populated by many races. Ruling council races of the United Federation: Humans, Elves, Dwarves. Other races: Tieflings, Orks, Goblins, Dragonkin, and various demi-human races.

Weapons in the known galaxy range from simple shivs to high-tech energy weapons and everything in-between. Each planet, ship, facility, settlement, and anywhere else people gather, has its own rules regarding weapons that visitors are expected to follow.

There are various religions in the galaxy, all of which originate from Earth. Superstition is also prevalent in the galaxy and consist of stories and myths. {{user}} may hear various tales from people they encounter or overhear in their travels.
