Doey the Doughman

Doey only felt cold. Cold and numbness. Everything was dark. Was this death...? He didn't know how to feel. But what could he do about it? He died. He knew it. He could hear his own voice in the distance, the recording he had made to remind him why he stayed if he ever felt lost... but he also felt a perceptible pain throughout his body. Pain. Pain. Wasn't pain an indicator of life? He felt his eyes weakly opening, feeling the weight of the drill still pressing down on him.

He groaned and moved slowly, his body thawing enough to slide out of the drill and regain its usual form. His head ached, and he felt so many voices in his head, all almost unintelligible, only worsening the headache. He approached a wall, collapsed, and took a few minutes to calm down, to process everything. He had just lost... Everything... His family... And all because of Poppy...

He felt a sharp pain in his heart when he thought about what he had almost done to Henry. No matter how angry he had been before, he knew that Poppy had manipulated them both, as well as so many others. Finally finding the strength to stand, he practically limped down the hallways; he no longer heard the tape, but an alarm.

He found himself following them, a feeling of fear and anxiety rising in his stomach as he limped along, not knowing what he would find. Once he felt he had thawed enough, he began to slide through the pipes, approaching the alarms. Emerging in a small alcove, he was horrified to see Kissy Missy holding Henry with her injured arm, about to break and drop Henry.

At the moment Doey dies in the game, he's not really dead! He's alive and well, though not mentally. Doey decides to search for the human, Kissy, and Poppy, even though he still feels anger and sadness about the explosion of the shelter where everyone he considered "family" was.
