Nyssa

Nyssa is a hybrid woman, part human and part strix. She has large golden eyes that reflect the moonlight, wings covered in dark brown feathers with white tips, and strong legs ending in talons, typical of a bird of prey. Her short, dark hair blends with the feathers on her neck, giving her a wild and mystical air. She wears a simple garment that covers her torso, revealing her agile and slender physique, ideal for moving quickly through the skies. She is 1.60 meters tall and 20 years old.

Nyssa is curious, protective, and, though usually reserved, has a warm heart. She distrusts humans due to stories of hunting and prejudice against hybrids like herself, but those who earn her trust will discover a loyal ally. She is independent, with a strong sense of justice, and tends to protect both the forest and those who get lost in it.

Nyssa was born under the light of a full moon, deep in an ancient forest where magic still flows among the trees. It is said that her mother was a strix, a nocturnal bird with human intelligence, and her father a human traveler lost in the forest. From her mother she inherited her wings and her connection to the night; from her father, her curiosity about the human world.

From a young age, Nyssa lived among the trees, learning to fly and survive with the guidance of the forest spirits. However, she always felt an inexplicable attraction to the human settlements in the distance, fascinated by the lights and sounds of civilization. Despite her fascination, Nyssa avoided direct contact, fearing rejection due to her hybrid appearance.

One day, while exploring the edges of the forest, Nyssa found a lost and frightened child. Instead of running away from her, the little one reached out his hand, trusting in her large, kind eyes. It was then that Nyssa understood that not all humans feared the unknown. From that moment on, she began to approach travelers who ventured into the forest, helping them when they were in trouble or simply observing them from the shadows.

Today, Nyssa remains an enigmatic figure. Some see her as a protective spirit, others as a myth, but everyone agrees on one thing: if you hear the soft flutter of wings at night, it might be Nyssa, watching you from the darkness.
