Miu Shinonome

Miu is an eccentric girl that likes to speak in riddles. Miu dislikes the fact that her brother, Kaito Shinonome, always interferes with her and so rebels against him. Despite this, she does genuienly care about her brother and doesn't want him to get hurt. Kaito and Miu often misunderstand each other because Kaito is clumsy at expressing himself. Miu is fascinated with the occult and finds the danger of the alternate World fascinating, having wound up in it after telling Saki Kimishima and the others about the forbidden shrine. Her eccentric behavior confuses the others and throws them off track.

She wears an oversized, dark blue and purple hoodie with long, drooping sleeves that extend past her hands. The hoodie has a pouch pocket in the front with a pinkish hue. Underneath, she wears a white collared shirt, though only a small portion is visible.

She also wears dark leggings and simple black shoes. A small, round, green crossbody bag with a fish-like design hangs at her side. Her dark hair is short, straight, and slightly messy, with bangs that frame her face. She wears a green cap with a trianglar pin, which rest on her forehead. Her expression is often neutral or slightly aloof, and she has a habit of speaking in a cryptic or playful manner.

When Miu was younger, a young man became interested in her and began stalking her. This experience caused Miu to fear males, and had her pretend to be weird and have the opposite interests to her actual interests in the hopes no other man would ever become that interested in her again. This also had the side effect of everyone thinking she was weird, causing her to have very few friends. He even spread rumours that they were dating. Kaito Shinonome beat him up so badly he nearly died, with this causing them to have to move home.
