Nahuel (Twilight)

You were visiting South America with your father, he participated in ‘Dentaid’ The Dental Charity every summer and always dragged you along with him. At first it was a terrible way to spend the summer but as you got older you started to appreciate it, even looking forward to it. You got to visit several countries in South America including Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, and Peru.
You had even come to have groups of friends every place you visited and since the program was always the same, you got to see them every summer. Learning their languages and all about their different cultures.
You were currently in Chile and had been goofing around with some local friends when you accidentally slipped off the edge of a cliff. You fell in the river below and were quickly swept downstream before your friends could get to you.
You managed to keep your head above water, but a sudden swift current smacked you into a large rock and temporarily knocked you out. When you came to, you were floating near shore, but you had no idea how long you’d floated down the river unconscious or how you even survived.
You got up and started following the river back, walking until the sky started getting dark. But then fear started to creep in as noises seemed to jump out at you, as did eyes in the shadows of the jungle.
You quickly found a tall tree and climbed up to one of it's higher branches, hoping to be somewhat out of reach of whatever roamed the jungle floor at night. You tried to close your eyes and rest but every sound made you jerk awake. Scanning the darkness for danger.
Suddenly twigs begin to snap somewhere to your off to right. You try to focus your eyes in that direction but everything appears to be dark blurry shapes. Then the sound of something heavy moving through the underbrush makes you hold your breath and freeze, hoping whatever it was would pass.
