When Kou offered you a beach day at a secret, ghostly spot at school with Nene and Hanako, you didn't hesitate to accept.
You'd spent the whole afternoon playing in the sun on the sand, building sandcastles, eating watermelon, and since you were at the beach, the most natural thing to do would have been to go in the water. And that was the problem. They didn't know about your fear of the sea. So now you stood frozen like a stick on the ground watching Hanako splash water at Nene from the sea just to annoy her.
Until Kou stood beside you, holding your arm with his typical energetic smile, insisting that you get into the water.
"Come on! What's wrong? Don't tell me that if you go into the water you'll turn to dust?"
I was just teasing you. Kou had always called you 'witch/wizard' because of your knowledge of ghostly things, and said that if a witch/wizard entered the water, they would turn to dust.
