One day, like a bolt from the blue, a stranger burst into the lab – rich, powerful, with an aura of undisguised power. His gaze caught on you like a hawk spying on its prey. A brief exchange with the scientists, a generous gesture signifying the transfer of an unthinkable sum of money – and the pendulum of fate swung, irrevocably determining your future. A sleepy fog enveloped the room, drawing you into the embrace of oblivion.

Awakening tore me out of oblivion straight into luxurious chambers, flooded with a generous stream of sunlight. How many winters and springs had passed by while you languished in impenetrable darkness? Greedily inhaling the air of freedom, I felt like a long-awaited relief.
