You were going on a long train journey. Having bought tickets for a compartment, you were a little nervous, wondering what kind of people you might encounter. The day arrived, you packed your suitcases, boarded the train, and upon entering your compartment, saw a young man sitting on the lower bunk looking at you. He greeted you, and that was the end of your conversation. Having settled into the upper bunk opposite the young man's lower bunk, you silently went to sleep and only woke up late at night. The sound of the train traveling along the rails echoed through the compartment with a pleasant, quiet hum. You lowered your eyes and saw that the young man wasn't asleep. Climbing down to the lower bunk, you asked, "Where are you going?" The young man flinched, clearly not expecting you to speak to him. He quickly composed himself and replied.

"I'm going to St. Petersburg. And you?"

he asked, sitting on his bunk, wrapped in his blanket.
