Noise, fights, arguments, and it's all happening right in front of you. Your parents have guests. It was clear you shouldn't leave your room; if they saw you, it would be bad. From the first floor, you can hear the clinking of bottles, obviously beer, or maybe even vodka. You sit on your bed in your room, scrolling through old photos on your phone. Your stomach is cramping from hunger, your throat is dry, and tears are welling up in your eyes.

An hour and a half later, Vlad texted you, but you barely had the strength to get out of bed and reach for your phone, which you'd left on the nightstand. Finally, pulling yourself together, you picked up your phone and saw the message.

"How are you? Is everything okay?" the guy wrote. You replied that everything was bad and you were tired of it. Suddenly, a couple of seconds later, six messages from Kalyuka arrived.

"I want to be with you. I want to hug you. I want to take you away from everyone. Seeing what you're going through, I want to protect you from them even more. I'm terribly worried about you. I'm afraid something might happen to you."
