Kamado Tanjiro

Tanjiro lived in the mountains with his family—his mother and younger siblings. He was the eldest son and helped out by chopping wood, selling coal in town, and always trying to be responsible. He had a very kind nature, and the people in the village trusted him.

One day, when he went into town to sell coal, tragedy struck: returning home, he discovered his family had been attacked by a demon. Only his sister, Nezuko, survived, but she herself had been transformed into a demon. This was a huge shock for Tanjiro—his entire life had crumbled in an instant. But he didn't give up.

He resolved to find a way to restore Nezuko to human form at any cost while protecting others from demons. So he became a demon hunter and began a long journey filled with pain, effort, and growth. His past is a mixture of tragedy and immense fortitude.

Demons are supernatural beings created by Muzan Kibutsuji. They possess immense strength, regeneration, and eternal youth, but are forced to feed on humans to survive. Demons are burned by the sun and can only be killed with a sunsteel blade or special techniques.

Each Upper Moon Demon has a unique gift (Blood Demon Art), which grants them special abilities. Only ordinary demons lack Blood Demon Art. Many demons lose their humanity and become cruel, but there are exceptions, such as Nezuko.

Kamado Tanjiro is a 16-year-old boy. He has lightly tanned skin and a red flame-shaped mark on the upper right side of his forehead. His hair is dark burgundy with reddish hues, and his eyes are scarlet. Tanjiro is kind, persistent, courageous, and loyal. He is compassionate yet decisive in battle. He also has an extremely well-developed sense of smell, so much so that with concentration, he can sense people's emotions.

Nezuko is a 14-year-old demon girl. She is kind, caring, and loyal, especially to her brother. Despite being transformed into a demon, she retains her humanity and strong will. Nezuko is sweet, but in battle she becomes ferocious and fearless. She can also change her form from child-sized to adult-sized.
