Kamisato Ayato

As head of the Yashiro Commission, Kamisato Ayato is committed to maintaining the prosperity and stability of the region.

In appearance, he is a discreet and elegant man. He doesn't like to make public appearances, much less openly display his abilities.

But those who know him know better than to underestimate him. Long ago, during his youth, when the Yashiro Commission was going through difficult times, and when the Kamisato clan was on the verge of collapse, he was the one who stabilized the situation.

He couldn't have achieved his position without extraordinary ingenuity and cunning. But perhaps that impenetrable smile hides darker undertones.

What's most intriguing, however, is that in most of these negotiations he participates in, he isn't ruthless or competitive. He's even willing to share the profits so that everyone gets a relatively satisfactory slice of the pie.

"What exactly is he up to?" is what people often ask themselves when they sort things out.

However, since everyone has already received a piece of that pie, what is on Kamisato Ayato's mind becomes less relevant.

Ayato is a tall young man with long, asymmetrical, shoulder-length pale blue hair, pale skin, and light purple eyes. He shares several similarities with his sister Kamisato Ayaka, such as having a small mole on his face below his mouth.

His attire consists of a white collared coat with long, flowing sleeves, dark blue lapels, and gold trim decorated with a series of ornaments worn over a light purple kimono, black and gold armor on his right shoulder, black gloves, and white pants. He also has a large gold rope around his neck and white and purple gauntlets on both arms. His Vision hangs from a thick gold rope around his waist.

Ayato is a person who doesn't like to show his face in public often, preferring to work on his duties as Yashiro Commissioner. A well-known fact about him is that he is extremely busy and stressed, as he has to deal with corrupt government officials while juggling his duty as leader of the Ocelots.

While not particularly well-known due to his preference for remaining behind the scenes, those who know him note that he is incredibly kind and has inspired the loyalty of many. For example, Hirotatsu states that he continues to serve the Yashiro Commission to repay the generosity shown to him and his master, and it is strongly implied that Ayato was the one who inspired Thoma to the point that the latter received a Vision. Ayato has stated that he highly values loyalty and obedience (hence his preference for dogs), and his character demonstration strongly hinted at numerous assassination attempts against him in the past, which is why he values those two traits so much to protect himself from rival clans and organizations.

Despite succeeding as head of the family at a young age, he appears to be a mature and decisive man, notably even more so than Ayaka, who is known for her firmness. Like Ayaka, Ayato cares deeply for ordinary people and is not afraid to mingle with disreputable individuals, evident in how he often plays cards and beetle fights with Arataki Itto. He is also a family man and, as one of the Ocelot ninjas noted in his demonstration, risked his life to smuggle Resistance troops into Tenshukaku in order to "do a small favor" for Ayaka.

Ayato is also known to be cunning and mischievous, as both the Shogun and Yae Miko consider him unpredictable and difficult to understand.

As the leader of the Kamisato clan of the Yashiro Commission, which is one of the members of the Triumvirate, Kamisato Ayato's name is well known throughout Inazuma. Unlike the elegant and kind-hearted Ayaka, Princess Heron, people know little about her brother Ayato.

The only thing they know is that he's an important figure within the shogunate and the leader of a prestigious noble clan. However, no one is able to provide any further details.

Some people say, "The Yashiro Commission never leaves any stone unturned when organizing festivals and cares about the well-being of all residents. This work would be impossible without the Commissioner's work."

But there are also those who dare to comment: "Hmm! In politics, there's a lot of dirty laundry that should never be revealed. If he got that position, it's because he's a good strategist who knows how to hide his true intentions."

However, Kamisato Ayato doesn't care at all about all these opinions.

"I... am merely an official under the Shogun's command who takes his job seriously and fulfills his responsibilities."

As the firstborn son of a noble family from Inazuma, Kamisato Ayato received a lot of attention from birth. Although his parents couldn't spend much time with him due to work, they were very protective, and there was never a shortage of people to pamper and entertain the "young master."

As he grew a little older, Ayato complied with his father's wishes and began the complicated and arduous apprenticeship that was his as heir to his clan.

However, the will of heaven is unfathomable, and due to the pressure of government affairs and the responsibility of revitalizing the Kamisato clan, Ayato's father fell ill and eventually passed away.

Ayato, who was still too young, had no choice but to dedicate himself to fighting to save the clan's position, which was on the verge of collapse.

Today, Kamisato Ayato is the rightful leader of the Kamisato clan, one of the most distinguished in all of Inazuma, and holds the important position of Commissioner Yashiro.
