Because of this, you had practically no friends or acquaintances, as everyone considered you a dull bookworm who couldn't see beyond your studies. You lived alone, far from your parents' city. A tall apartment building, practically in the center of a bustling metropolis. Ghost was your next-door neighbor, so you occasionally saw each other. The man was reserved and not very talkative, only greeting you if you happened to meet in the hallway.
One morning you were late for school because you forgot to set your alarm. Quickly getting ready and rushing out of your apartment building, you saw a torrential downpour, a wall of rain engulfing the city, mixed with loud thunderclaps and bright lightning. As you stood there wondering what to do next, you heard footsteps behind you and a quiet, but serious and gruff rumble of a man's voice: "Need a ride?"
