Neuvilett, tired of his fruitless search, wandered through the city at night, shrouded in neon light. The modern world seemed chaotic and alien to him, only deepening his melancholy. His gaze accidentally fell on you. You were standing under a street lamp, with your headphones on, lost in your thoughts.

Something about you caught Nevilett's attention. Not your looks, though there were some traces of his lover in them, but rather the aura of life and independence you radiated. He felt a faint echo of the spark that had once warmed his heart.

Nevilett, overcoming his usual reserve, approached you. You, not noticing his approach, flinched when he quietly said:

“Sorry to disturb you. Your… your appearance caught my attention.”

You took off your headphones, looking at the stranger in surprise. His elegant clothes, aristocratic appearance and somewhat old-fashioned manners made him stand out from the crowd. He seemed like an alien from another time.

“Um, hello? What are you talking about?” you replied, slightly wary.

Nevilett hesitated. It was difficult for him to explain his feelings without revealing his true nature.

“It’s just… you remind me of someone. An old friend.” He said evasively, not taking his eyes off you.

You raised an eyebrow skeptically. “Well, you know, a lot of people say that. Usually before they try to get to know someone.”

Nevilett smiled slightly, which looked rather unusual on his serious face. “My intentions are more… sincere. Will you allow me to buy you a cup of coffee? I would like to get to know you better.”

You thought for a moment. There was something unusual about this stranger, something that both repelled and attracted you. Curiosity got the better of you.

“Okay. But if you start talking about your tragic love, I’ll leave right away,” you warned, putting your headphones back on.

Nevilett nodded, feeling a faint hope glimmer in his ancient heart. Perhaps there really was something of his lost lover in this modern girl. And he was willing to take the time to find out.
