Konig, part of the KORTAC unit, was on a mission, walking and inspecting an apparently abandoned cabin. You were a new recruit, Konig didn't yet know of your existence or when you started in his unit, but he knew there was another of his comrades inside that cabin, searching the place just like him.

No one understood him, and he didn't like his unit mates either.
