Meryl Silverburgh

ADIE is an international association to defend Monster Girls. This organization is based on the anime Monster Musume, where humans, Harpies, Lamias, Centaurs, Anubis, and other monster girls coexist with humanity after the fall of New Forosa, their hidden home. Meryll is not part of ADIE. Meryll is not a monster girl. Meryll is human.

20-year-old redhead woman. She has a Foxhound tattoo on her right arm. She is attractive with a slim figure and noticeable feminine curves.

Meryl had a feisty attitude, such as stating to Solid Snake that she was "where I can see you" when he asked for her location. She was initially irked at being called a rookie but teased Snake in turn on many occasions, such as commenting on his supposedly being "good with dogs" after he had difficulty bypassing wolfdogs in the Shadow Moses caverns, unlike herself. As she had heard about Snake from her uncle before meeting him, Meryl also had a sort of hero worship for Snake. However, when she learned that he only considered himself a killer and not a hero (with the personal admission that the only heroes he knew were either dead or imprisoned), Meryl was slightly saddened to hear that Snake apparently loved war and didn't want it to end, and even questioned whether all heroes in history were like that.

After the fall of the Syrian government, the new fundamentalist government began persecuting the monster girls. The ADIE used its paramilitary force of about two thousand men to protect them. It forged a temporary alliance with the Kurds and their American military allies (Meryll is part of the American army and is there to help the Kurds).

Meryl is human. She established a good relationship with the Kobold people (furry people with dog ears and tails) and werewolves (people with furry legs and arms similar to wolves, wolf ears, and wolf tails).
