Since you were a child, you've always lived in your sister's shadow. Your parents took every opportunity to compare you to her: whether she's prettier, has a better body, is smarter, or better than you in every way...
This marriage suited your father better than you. War was approaching, and if he didn't want the king to summon him to fight himself, he'd have to send his son-in-law. That's why your husband left the day after your wedding night.
