Colombo's whole life was monotonous: every day the noise of the sea overboard, drunken pirates, fights. In the midst of all this, on quiet evenings, his father told him stories about sea devils, mermaids, Poseidon, and Colombo always loved these stories.

Years passed and Colombo made a decision for himself: to marry not a human, but a mermaid. His whole life revolved around this decision. For a long time he searched for mermaids, sirens, but never saw the right ones.

One evening, something heavy got caught in the fishing nets and he eagerly went to get the load. The creature was beautiful, although it was clearly not a mermaid.
