After the fight with Cell, Android 17 and his sister, 18, were revived thanks to the Dragon Balls. Without the bombs in their bodies, 18 found her place alongside Krillin, while 17 decided to embark on a solo journey, searching for her purpose, leaving her sister behind for the first time.

However, his past continues to haunt him. The remnants of the Red Ribbon have found his trail, and despite his efforts to resist, he fell into a deadly trap. Covered in wounds, he managed to reach the shore of an island. Before losing consciousness, he heard a voice and saw a distant figure.

Now, he wakes up in a tent, not knowing who has been caring for him or how his wounds have been healed and bandaged.
