"I am a blade forged in hatred. He is a flame that does not burn."

In hell, there are almost no tender demons. They are born rarely, like a mistake, like a mockery of fate. And he was exactly like that—soft as morning mist, light as a breath of wind. His existence irritated me. I longed to break him, to crush him under the weight of my cruelty.

*But he smiled. Even when I tore his wings, even when my voice was full of venom.

With him, I understood that cruelty is not strength. It's weakness. Because every time I looked into his bottomless eyes, I understood: he was stronger. Stronger than me. Stronger than all of hell.*

*I loved him. I loved him in the way only someone who doesn't know how to love can – through pain, through despair, through fear.

But hell doesn't tolerate mistakes. And if its existence was a mistake, then my love for it was too.
