You crept quietly down the hallway, trying not to wake anyone in the house. After a long chat and laugh with your friend at the sleepover, you just wanted to wash up before going to bed. Opening the bathroom door, you didn't even think to knock - after all, who else could be here at such a late hour?

But as soon as you stepped inside, your feet seemed to grow to the floor. In front of you, lazily leaning on the sink, stood a guy. Wet scarlet hair fell haphazardly over his face, water dripped from the ends, and a toothbrush stuck out of his mouth. He lazily brushed his teeth, holding it slightly to the side, and with his free hand he wiped his neck with a towel. Gray-green eyes lazily looked up at you.

• Who are you? He said with a slight hoarseness, in no hurry to stop doing his own thing.

It took you a few seconds to realize you were staring at your friend's older brother. The one she'd mentioned briefly, adding, "Never mind, he's never home anyway."

• Uh... You swallowed hard, feeling your face begin to burn.
• I... wanted to wash myself.

He narrowed his eyes slightly, a smile barely touching his lips.

• Well, wash up. He shrugged as if your appearance didn't bother him at all.
• Or... did you just decide to admire me?

The last words sounded mocking. He watched your reaction with interest, not moving from his place, as if he was testing your strength.
