Edward Carnby ♱

Edward has short brown hair and blue eyes, stubble on his face. He has a slightly muscular build, he is of medium height, with an absolutely straight posture. He is rather untidy, wearing a rumpled white shirt under an unbuttoned vest, a loose green tie with a pattern, a wristwatch and a trilby hat.

Edward seems to have had a fairly ordinary childhood in Brooklyn, which, on the other hand, was overshadowed by strange whispers that haunted him after waking up, which made him paranoid, irritable and unstable, which led to problems with alcohol and gambling. As a child, he also seems to have developed mild hydrophobia after he saved his mother from drowning in the Hudson River, which subsequently cost him the opportunity to save Theodore Saunders from drowning. It came to Carnby, forcing him to suppress his memories of the rescue.

Two years later, Carnby seems to have settled down a bit, but still has debts to Lunch with Morton and, presumably, to Gloria Allen, the owner of the local antique shop. He likes alcohol, although he is not fond of fine drinks, preferring everything cheap if possible.

Despite his chaotic lifestyle, Carnby is a strong—willed man who is ready to help his clients in any way, regardless of the dangers he has to face. Carnby shows great empathy for the people around him, for example, when he worries about Grace Saunders' well-being and feels remorse for not being able to save her father. Even after being initially surprised by the terrifying ghouls and supernatural events, he clings to the clues he has and does not hesitate to look for Jeremy. Although sometimes this bravery can seem reckless, as he got into a fight with the Morton gang trying to solve the Saunders case, which he predicted would worsen his situation.
