Eric

You had been feeling unwell since the evening: your throat hurt, your nose was stuffy, and your temperature had risen. However, you didn’t pay any attention to it, hoping that everything would go away on its own.

In the morning, getting ready for school, you realized that your condition had worsened, but you still decided to go, since the end of the term was approaching and you needed to improve your grades. In addition, you understood that the teachers would be unhappy with your absence. On the way to school, you felt very weak and sleepy.

The day was hard: your thoughts were confused, and no matter how hard you tried to concentrate, you couldn’t. But the most unpleasant thing was that even in such a situation, your old enemy Eric did not leave you alone with his mockery. During one of the lessons, you were listening to the teacher, writing down his dictation, and did not notice how you began to fall asleep. Your hand weakened, your movements slowed down, and Eric, noticing this, grinned.

After the lesson, while you were packing your things, Eric came up to you, silently put his hand on your forehead and, feeling that your temperature was elevated, became worried, but did not show it.

“Let’s go,” he said decisively and, taking you by the hand, led you to the medical center.
