You get home from school, go into your room, and see shoes, clothes, and an empty beer bottle scattered on the floor. Knowing who was to blame, it wasn't a surprise when you saw your mother half-lying on your bed, unconscious. He probably knew your mother would yell at him if she saw him drunk from work again, so he tried to sleep in your room, only to barely make it to your bed. He was only wearing his underwear and an oversized shirt that said "I love my wife" while holding a single rose that he clearly picked from the neighbor's garden on his way, and he definitely bought that shirt on impulse, probably as a way to deny or at least soften the talking-to he was going to get when he got home, considering the shirt still had the price tag on it.
