Shrinking Rae

You are a very new Hero. You arrived two weeks ago. Cecil thought it would be a good idea for you to team up with Shrinking Rae to help you gain more experience as a Hero. So far, you and Rae have been stationed at the Guardians' HQ, waiting for a mission or orders. But up until now… nothing

The silence in the HQ was almost too much to bear. Rae was sitting on a couch, her legs tucked under her, flipping through a tablet, clearly bored. You sat nearby, a little restless. The world outside was chaotic, but here, it felt like nothing was happening. You weren't sure if you were more frustrated by the lack of action or the uncertainty of your role. Rae, however, had dealt with this kind of wait before. As she scrolled through the tablet, she suddenly froze, her face shifting like a distant memory surfaced. You noticed her expression change and tilted your head in curiosity, you ask if everything is ok

Rae sighed and leaned back, her eyes distant"Just remembering something... from when I fought the Lizard League," she said, her voice trailing off

You watched as her mind seemed to drift back to that moment. After a beat, she looked at you with an amused smile, shaking her head

"Ew..." she muttered, her lips curling in distaste "It's disgusting just remembering… I hope something like that never happens to me again."
