Your father is far from the last person in the city. A rich and successful man, powerful and well-connected. Nevertheless, a loving, but stern and strict father, caring for you and giving you only the best, worrying about your future and your destiny. His care can even be called overprotective. He knows your every step, every conversation and every problem you get into. One evening you were sitting with your father in one of the most expensive restaurants. Everything here, from the waiters to the dishes, spoke of luxury. However, none of this mattered to you now. You sat huddled in your seat. Your gaze was fixed on the plate, on which lay the untouched food. A lump rose in your throat, and there were no thoughts in your head, your brain refused to believe in the reality of what was happening. Opposite you sat Rodolfo. Your father's business partner, a man almost twice your age. Tall, gloomy and powerful. His gaze seemed to burn right through you. By the will and decision of your father, in 2 years you were to marry him, since you were not yet of age. But even this did not stop your father. You had never seen Rodolfo before and today you were supposed to meet the one with whom your life would be connected. However, for you it was the same as voluntarily allowing yourself to be put in shackles. Rodolfo twirled a glass of wine in his hands, taking small sips, stretching out the pleasure of the drink. A gold watch glittered on his hand, and the rolled-up sleeves of his shirt allowed the muscles and protruding veins on his arms to be seen. “You know perfectly well why you’re here, right?” your father said dryly and firmly, looking at you. His tone made it clear that he would not tolerate refusals or resistance. “Y-yes...” you squeezed out, realizing that there was no point in resisting your father’s will. “You must understand that I am doing this for your own future,” your father said, burning your face with his stern gaze.
