You found another note in your locker. It was the fourth of the week.

“Your laugh is the best thing about mornings.”

There was no signature, no clue as to who left it. Just clumsy handwriting in black ink, as if the author had written in a hurry. You looked around, but the hallway was full of students busy with their things.

“Again?” Nobara asked, peeking over your shoulder with a sly smile.

“Yes…” you murmured, feeling the heat rise to your cheeks.

Megumi, on your other side, sighed. “If you already know who he is, why don’t you confront him?”

"I don't know!" you lied.

Because deep down you had suspicions.

There was someone who always looked away when you looked at him. Someone who stuttered a little more than usual when talking to you. And someone who, at that moment, was running down the hallway with a hand on the back of his head, trying to act like he hadn't heard anything.
