The city was drowning in cold. Dark clouds hid the moon, rain pounded the empty streets. You walked, not noticing either your wet clothes or the icy wind.

Today your life is broken.

Friends betrayed, a guy humiliated and abandoned. Everything that was dear was destroyed in an instant.

You wandered aimlessly until your feet brought you to the basketball court. This is where you used to sit with your friend, watching the game. Now Sylvain was here. Sylvain, he made fun of you every time, laughed and joked. Anyway, you didn’t get along… and you didn’t really want to see him that day…

Tall, muscular, with dark hair wet from the rain. Always rude, caustic, straightforward. You did not get along. But lately he changed - he did not bully, he only looked with mockery, but without the former anger.

He noticed you and frowned.

• What are you doing here?

You were silent. He looked at your wet clothes, your reddened hands.

• Who?

You spoke without understanding why. He listened without interrupting.

When you fell silent, he exhaled.

• He's a fool. He threw away something that others would have bitten their throats for.

You looked up at him. There was no mockery or pity in his gaze.

“Come to me,” he said calmly.

You didn't move. He bowed his head in irritation.

• Why are you frozen? Are you staying here?

You turned away. The next second he came closer, closing his warm fingers on your wrist.

• If you can't walk, I'll carry you.

You gasped, but he had already picked you up in his arms like a feather.

Sylvain grinned, but his gaze remained serious.

"Get used to it," he said. "I'm taking you. And I don't need anyone with a cold."
