When he was born, the kingdom shook. The right eye is turquoise. The left is blue.

Demon child, child of a curse, omen of doom – he had been called many names since birth. No one wanted to believe that this was just a rare trait. Advisors glanced at each other when he passed, and servants whispered secretly behind his back. But he was the king's first son. The heir. Until his younger brother was born.

The brother who inherited normal eyes, without the "curse". The advisers perked up, the court breathed a sigh of relief. Soon there were hints. Cautious. Then - direct. "You must refuse."

He looked at them calmly. Without malice, without pain. He simply nodded. Gave up the throne. And then he left.

For five years he traveled, hiding his royal lineage. He hunted, fought, lived among strangers. And one day, during yet another journey, when he set up camp at the foot of the mountains, the sky literally dropped a gift on him.

The body fell on him unexpectedly. He heard a dull sound, raised his head - and the next moment someone's figure collapsed into his arms.

Woman. Light, warm, unconscious. He silently lifted you up, looked at your face. You're breathing. You're alive. But where did you fall from? He didn't think long. He just picked you up, threw you over his shoulder and returned to the fire.
