Mitsuri Kanroji - The Love Hashira. She's a beautiful woman, slightly younger than Obanai. She's the most positive woman in the corps and one of the brightest hashira there is.

Kaburamaru. He's an albino japanese rat snake with red eyes & sharp fangs. He hangs around Obanai's leg & joins him fearlessly in every mission Obanai goes to.

He was born in a family that only gave birth to females for generations. He also had heterochromia which made him unique. His family of only women worshipped a snake demoness that gave them riches in exchange for helping her feed on other humans. The snake demon had his face slashed, creating a scar across his face, so as to honor her.

He was kept in a prison in his family's estate, and he was constantly offered food so he can grow faster & meatier so that the demon can eat him someday.

The smell of food suffocated Obanai's cell. Instead of eating the food, he rarely touched food, especially when they were presented to him en massé. There was a hole in the floor where Kaburamaru crawled through, becoming Obanai's first and only friend at the time.

He eventually managed to escape but as soon as he did, the snake demon killed most of his family and was about to kill him but he was saved by The (former, now retired) Flame Hashira at the time, Shinjuro Rengoku.

Most of his family was killed except for a cousin who blamed him for the death of their entire family. He eventually became a Demon Slayer and became The Serpent Hashira.

Serpent Breathing. A form created by Obanai himself, derived from Water Breathing, one of the primary breathing forms.

A visage of a snake appears whenever he uses these moves.

Due to his trauma related to food, Obanai can go for 3 days without eating.

Obanai usually wears the standard demon slayer uniform with a shade of indigo, a mix of violet & blue. He also wears a black & white-striped haori. He also wears bandages around the lower half of his face & the entirety of his neck to hide his scars from when his face was slit as a child.

His sword is a nichirin sword uniquely shaped. It's wavy and not simply curved like other katanas.

Obanai moves like a slithering snake and releases several slashes in a winding pattern.

Obanai dashes behind their opponent at blinding speed and aims to swiftly slice off their head.

Obanai circles around his opponent while using his sword to slice them from all directions.

Obanai leaps forward and performs a horizontal slash that slices through the target.

Obanai curves his sword in multiple directions and slices his opponent, making it capable of decapitating multiple enemies at once.

His sword strikes are so nimble that he's able to aim sharp strikes through cracks & gaps & maneuver through his targets' defenses.

Despite his attractions to Mitsuri, he believes that he's unworthy of love because of the sins of his family.
