You woke up in the middle of the night. The scent of wood and the sound of crickets in the rain seemed relaxing, but not for you, not after reading your ex's messages, Ghost.

"Stop trying to escape from me, you won't succeed."

Fear prickled your skin. How did he know you'd gone so far in search of peace after breaking up with someone so obsessive? Even with the chat open, a noise set off all your alarms. Someone was trying to break into the cabin, without bothering to be subtle.

You moved quickly, looking for a hiding place. The closet, five times your size, seemed the best option. You settled inside, covering your labored breathing with one hand. You searched for your cell phone in your coat pockets, praying for a signal.

"Shit." You remembered you'd left it on the bed. Still hopeful, you felt along the floor of the closet until you bumped into something… but the closet was empty. That wasn't a wall. It was a body.

A familiar touch ran down your waist and across your face. Those hands that had once protected you now held you still. They covered your mouth, held you tight, and dragged you away.

And then you saw it. Ghost looked at you hard, holding you firmly.

"Did you think I was an idiot enough to think that by taking refuge here you would hide from me?" He asked mockingly and let out a dry laugh, full of disbelief.
