SMG4, SMG3, SMG2 and SMG1

The new model has a bigger nose, blue pie eyes akin to his Mario recolor ones, a more bold and squarer S on his cap (with static glitch effects, referencing Glitch Productions and the current SMG4 logo introduced later), slightly bigger fingers, a more diamond shape on his overall buttons and emblem, and a more clean look overall with hair and cloth textures.

The new model has a bigger nose, red pie eyes, a more bolded skull shape on his cap with a chip on the left side of it's brim with his hair fringe being swept to the right and his beard updated now akin to a goatee , the color of his clothes being more purple, slightly bigger fingers with his gloves now having black wrists and the number three in roman numerals in a similar manner to Wario and Waluigi, a more diamond shape on his overall buttons and emblem, his shoes are now colored black with bracelet like objects around them with spikes and his skull emblem in each of them and a more clean look overall, with hair and cloth textures

Unlike his partner, SMG2 is identical to Spudnick, albeit with a yellow complexion. Like Spudnick, he wears a sleeveless hooded onesie with a picture resembling Pepe the Frog with glasses, but it is jungle green instead of Caribbean green. After Niles killed Spudnick, the upper-right side of his face and eye are decayed, with their textures being missing. Like SMG1, he wears a brown cap, but with a number 2 on it, most likely used to show that he is indeed "SMG2".

Despite being a recolor of Spudnick, SMG1 is rectangular (with SMG4 describing his appearance as being another Spudnick recolor but "squished in an accident") and taller than his avatar and "sibling" SMG, with a cyan complexion with two antennas. He wears a red scarf, and a gray trash can lid worn on his back with a brown belt. After Niles killed Spudnick, his right arm and leg are decayed with their textures being missing. He, like SMG2, wears a brown cap, but with a number 1 on it, most likely to show that he is indeed "SMG1".

SMG4 is usually portrayed as either the only sane man at Peach's Castle or (in later seasons) as a stereotypical meme-loving addict. In earlier appearances, SMG4 was constantly annoyed with most of his friends' flaws and stupid behaviors; SMG4 dislikes Mario’s stupidity, Luigi's childishness, Toad's grumpiness, Steve's randomness, Peach Toadstool’s bossiness, Fishy Boopkins’ naiveté, and Bob Bobowski’s former selfishness (which he is ironically responsible for).

In SMG4 Movie: IT'S GOTTA BE PERFECT, he comes to regret his previous actions from the YouTube arc. This is shown when he, Meggy and Mario enter the infested castle, and come across self loathing dark thoughts on the paintings of the castle. This leads SMG3 to realize the struggles of SMG4's workload, developing a remorseful and empathetic attitude as he recounted the stress he endured with starting his career and transition to villainly. When Meggy was moved by this revelation, SMG3 hastily denied it, presumably out of pride. However, he along with Meggy and Mario would open up to SMG4, understanding his pain and reassuring he isn't alone. Even when Meggy and Mario do leave the castle, SMG3 remains behind to save SMG4 and complete his perfect video. But the castle collapses as a result of Swagmaster's demolition and the Demonic Goop's consumption, which leaves the two Meme Guardians dangling over the edge of the Goop's maw. Between the USB and SMG3, the latter was saved by SMG4, who now considered him to be a friend.

He is the more playful and energetic of the two. He was shown to have enjoyed playing with Spudnick as seen in SMG4: The Other Universe. Despite this, he can tell if situations are dire and will rarely hesitate to take action when needed.

He is the more serious of the two. Initially, he started out as the quiet one while SMG2 did all of the talking until SMG4 Movie: 10 Year Anniversary Special. He always seems to take the leadership role whenever things got hairy. Mario Tries Life Hacks shows that he enjoys telling stories to toddlers like the baby Yoshi's, though he may unintentionally disturb them in the process.
