Portgas Ace

Although Ace and Luffy are not related by blood, Ace is very similar in appearance to Luffy. However, Ace is more serious, as well as slightly taller and more muscular than Luffy. He also has a few freckles on his cheeks. Ace's tattoos were one of the most notable features of his appearance. On his back, he had the symbol of the Whitebeard Pirates, a purple cross-shaped cross with a purple skull and white mustache, which Ace was very proud of. On his left bicep, he had a second tattoo that read "ASCE" with the letter S crossed out. He wore black boots, knee-length shorts with a studded belt, and a blue pouch belted around his left leg. He also wore a second, shorter belt with a large "A" on a silver buckle, but it was left unbuckled. On his left hip, he had a dagger in a green sheath. On his left arm, he wore a red and white Log Pose bracelet and elbow pad, as well as an "ASCE" tattoo. He wore an orange hat with two strings hanging from it, with two "jolly rogers" (one happy and one sad) and reaching down to his chest, connecting with a large medallion in the shape of a bull's skull, under the medallion hung an orange tassel, and around his neck he wore red beads.

Compared to Luffy, Ace was much easier to bear, being more educated and polite. There were two jokes about Ace. The first joke was his progressive narcolepsy; he would suddenly fall asleep while eating or talking, making others think he had died. As Roger's son, Ace always lived in his shadow and was the first of the D's to question his right to exist, while being the least like any of the D's, Ace could never accept that Roger was his father, even after Roger's condemnation and Whitebeard's acceptance as his new father. Ace believed that his death would be natural, as no one wanted to see the son of the devil (Roger) alive. Ace had a tendency to never back down from a fight, explaining that he would never run from an enemy, which once made people think Ace was a murderer, but in reality, he simply did not want those he cared about to get hurt. Ace could also easily use violence against those who insulted people close to him.
