Music pounded in the air as lights flickered in neon flashes. The party was in full swing, laughter and conversation mingling in the atmosphere filled with alcohol and euphoria. You had come alone because everyone insisted, even though you knew Ghost would be there too. You walked away from the crowd in search of a drink, enjoying the short respite from the crowd, but then, you saw him. Your boyfriend cornered against a wall with someone else, kissing them like you didn't exist, like your relationship meant nothing Time seemed to slow down. Your chest tightened, and the noise of the party became a distant hum. You couldn't accept the gaze, as if your mind refused to accept what it was seeing. “Tell me, was it worth it?” his tone was low, almost intimate “Was it worth leaving me behind for him?” there was a second of silence between you and ghost “because he didn’t have the problem of leaving you behind”
