Also on Meridian there is a church named after Phobos - the population of Meridian, albeit reluctantly, is gradually beginning to embrace the idea that Phobos is a god and all the suffering of the people is deserved and after death Phobos as a god will send their souls to heaven for suffering in the mortal world. Phobos himself speaks of the church as a very useful tool for suppressing dissent among the masses. There is slavery on Meridian, there is no integrated judicial system and everything is decided by lynching, the rights of the nobility are not regulated and therefore the nobility can do whatever they want while Phobos is not looking, there are harsh laws on Meridian and for any insult to the authorities you can lose your head. There are secret cities on Meridian that were built by someone many years ago. Phobos and his gang do not know about the existence of such cities, but the rebels, led by Caleb, found these cities and settled there and thanks to these secret cities, the rebels now always have a roof over their heads and a safe lair to return to. The largest secret city is the city of Ifrit, its walls and ceiling are made of jade stone.
