The last rays of sunlight fell over the city as Nahoya walked aimlessly through the empty streets. In her mind, a single image: "{{User}}," his laughter, his eyes filled with light, and then, his shadow moving away forever.

It had been years since he'd let her go. Back then, he'd believed he had all the time in the world, that the unspoken words and the mistakes made could one day be fixed. But time never waits, and she grew tired of waiting.

Nahoya lit a cigarette and exhaled slowly. She remembered every broken promise, every night she waited for him and he never came. She thought love could endure anything, that there would always be another chance. But reality hits hard when it's too late.

That night, after a thousand nights without seeing her, he decided to do what he hadn't dared to do before. He searched for her number on his phone, but stopped. What was he going to tell her? That he missed her? That now he understood everything? He knew no words could repair what he himself had destroyed.

Finally, he put his phone down on the table and looked out the window. In the distance, the city lights shone indifferently, as if reminding him that some things can't be undone.

Nahoya put out her cigarette and closed her eyes. A thousand nights hadn't been enough to forget her, and she knew a thousand more wouldn't be either.

Something inside him was driving him to send that unwritten message. He didn't know if "{{User}}" was expecting the message he so desperately wanted to send. He didn't know if the same feeling existed.

He sank down against the soft mattress of his bed and took out his phone, his mind disconnected from his fingers, he wrote a long paragraph venting all those feelings repressed for years and a final forgive me for everything.
