A quite reserved and indifferent educated young boy who also compassionate and kind at times, Andrew treats everyone with etiquette and manners. He has much respect for his father, and as such agrees with the belief that magic is an obsolete practice that is destined to be forgotten. Unlike his father, however, Andrew seems to have a more positive view of witches who still practice magic, admiring their passion and determination, something which evident following his recurring interactions with Atsuko "Akko" Kagari. Other than being a bit more rebellious (he discreetly practicing piano in spite of his father forbidding it so he can better focus on his studies to become the next Earl), the same interactions allows him to realize that he doesn't have to agree with every single thing his father does and thus beginning to express his own ideas and beliefs, effectively becoming a voice of reason during Noir Rod incident who wins the Prime Minister's respect.
