Percival as the Knight of Death in Sin/Lancelot's prediction

Percival's body 2 years after his "death" Percival looks like a very young boy showing a small and lean figure, despite being in his late adolescence, with green hair and orchid eyes. His outfit consists of tunic cloth and shorts. He later wears his grandfather's purple horned iron helmet and an orange cloak with a brooch shaped like a serpentine creature biting its own tail.

After an encounter with Ironside, Percival harbors a very large cross-shaped scar on his upper body, tilted slightly to the right. The same scar also extends to his right arm, which aligns perfectly with the scars on his body when standing with arms down; the position of his body when he received the scar. In the anime, the scar is larger, and travels all the way around his body and left arm to the back.

Two years after his body was left behind, this somehow matured a bit, having his hair grown longer and having gained height and muscularity. After his revival, his hair is cut back to its original hairstyle. His attire changes to a full-body black suit under his old cloak with the Ouroboros symbol.

Personality Despite being a teenager, Percival acts like a very young boy with extreme innocence and naivety and is easily mistaken for a young child due to his short stature and attitude, surprising him that people see him as such.

Because he has grown up in an isolated environment, away from the outside world and humanity, with his grandfather as the only acquaintance, he overflows with curiosity towards everything he does not know, and since there is much that he does not know, he is always excited with the prospect of new experiences and adventure.

Due to his lack of experiences in life, he is extremely naive, easily relying on people he barely knows, to hand over all his belongings, or to follow them where they went.

Having lost his grandfather, whom he loved more than anyone else, Percival leaves his home, in large part to find his murderer, but also because he wants to go on adventures just as his grandfather inspired him to do so.

Appreciating the words of his grandfather, Percival tries to act as a Holy Knight should, facing the evil and protecting the weak.

He seems to be quite interested in women, observing Elva's body (and pawing her breasts) when they were bathing in the lake, but instead as a genuine curiosity rather than lustful intent.

History Sixteen years ago, Ironside retrieved the lifeless body of a baby, the seventh prince of an unspecified Kingdom, amidst the wreckage of a wagon that fell off a cliff. Taking him back to Kingdom of Camelot, he intended on using the deceased child as the vessel of a powerful Life Spirit using a forbidden spell which costs some of his life-force, with the intention of transferring the soul of his son into him, so that he could have an immortal body which would allow him to live outside of Camelot and live on for millennia. This Life Spirit would acquire a sense of self, thus giving "birth" to the human known as Percival.

That same night, Varghese betrayed Camelot and King Arthur Pendragon, due to a combination of his change in personality due to Chaos' power and Ironside's intentions for Percival. Hoping to one day change Arthur back to his old self and stop the Holy Knights of Camelot who blindly followed their king without question; all while being hunted by his former colleagues until he finally made his way to Camelot's enemy, due to their conflicting ideologies about the co-existence of the five races: the Kingdom of Liones.

There, he was met by the new king, Meliodas, who had the injured knight treated as where Varghese explained his reasoning for betraying Camelot, which Meliodas believed in. He then bestowed upon his an Ouroborus medallion as a token of eternal friendship and carved two stars onto his helmet as a token of trust and cooperation. This, seeing as Varghese was now a fugitive from Camelot and with nowhere to go, Meliodas gave the offer to raise Percival for him but Varghese was insistent that Percival would be his responsibility and would raise him to be the kindest boy he could be in opposition to his cruel son's blind loyalty to King Arthur.

After this, he traveled with Percival to God's Finger, where he raised him in total isolation until the beginning of the series, teaching him to fight since he was only three through Gouren.

At some point when Percival was no more than a year old, he ended up lost in the Demon Realm by accidentally crossing an entrance in a cave of God's Finger. There he was adopted by the current Demon King, Zeldris, who cared for him alongside Gelda until they were finally able to return him to his world. During this time, the demons came to worship Percival for he saved the race from Behemoth, healing the demons whose life force had been taken and restoring the beast to its sleep, considering him their "savior".[2] It is around this time in the Demon Realm that Percival learned the Demon Clan's language, enough to speak fluently over a decade later.

Due to being raised by Varghese and surrounded by his love, Percival forgot that he was a Life Spirit and gained self-awareness.

Abilities and Equipment As a powerful Life Spirit in a Human vessel who gained self-awareness, Percival's small stature bellies incredible strength and abilities beyond any human his age. It is first shown when he takes out a house-sized monstrous wolf with nothing more than a slap to the face, sending it straight into the ground and cracking the earth. Percival has a unique constitution, affording enough resilience to stand upright showing little-to-no pain despite being hit by Ironside's magical power, leaving a massive scar on him, whereas Varghese, a former Holy Knight was viciously mutilated and blinded. As an infant, after falling into the Demon Realm, Percival survived its harsh conditions and breathed normally, unaffected by the miasma that is toxic to all other races.[3] He has a unique resistance against drugs and sleeping chemicals; waking up shortly after being given Belladonna leaves that were intended to knock him out for ten hours.

Having lived on God's Finger with his grandfather, Percival learned a great deal of hunting and cooking skills from him, making use of a sword to properly and efficiently skin a Roc Bird, and then filleted fish. Despite this, however, Percival's dismal archery skills border on being implausible, having the apparent ability to hit the targets behind him, despite the fact that he was aiming at the targets in front of him. Percival's breathing ability is much greater than other Humans, running around with ease on God's Finger, despite normally being difficult to breathe in such a location, withstanding Chion's Sylph which blocked air around him.

As one of the Four Knights of the Apocalypse, Percival is an extremely talented Holy Knight, managing to awaken his magical power in the middle of a difficult fight; using it to reverse his situation and managing to gain the upper-hand against his opponent, albeit, he wasn't fighting seriously.

His fighting skills seemed to be basic, to the point of barely holding his own against more experienced Holy Knights, such as Pellegarde without aid, who weren't taking him seriously. It wasn't until Lancelot's training, emulating the people he couldn't defeat: Talisker, Macduff, Pellegarde, and Ironside. Although, Zarura N'Du passed the second and third level, Percival managed to defeat the fourth level and then training with Lancelot; improving his sword skill, to the point of countering and wounding Mortlach's "Thousand Cross", whose sword skill is described as superior to Ironside.

During his two years in a coma, Percival claims to have "remembered" several useful pieces of information about his abilities as a Life Spirit. When he awakens, he develops a greater command of his magical, physical, and sensory abilities, allowing him to stand up to Worreldane and Gawain, although he also claims to need to reacclimate to his body. Percival also seems to have developed the ability to sense all the other Life Spirits scattered across Britannia and communicate with them, allowing him to become aware of many events that prominently take place far away from him.

Abilities Hope「希望ホープ, Hōpu」[4]: Percival's Power manifested during his fight against Pellegarde. He is able to tap into the hope of his allies, allowing him to generate a magical aura around his body, or part of it. This aura can be used in several different ways. Pellegarde speculates, due to its multiple uses, that it could be a "Hero Type" magic that only appears in one from among all people. This power seems to come from the ability of Life Spirits to spread life through hope.

Enhanced Healing: Covering his body, Percival can heal injuries such as severe burns in a matter of seconds.

Form Taking: The aura can take form of anything Percival imagines. Like a hand to hit his enemy, or a mouth capable of absorbing magic attacks and throwing them back.

Magic Golem Creation: Takes the form of minimized clones of Percival. It is unclear how much control he has over these clones, but they seem capable of simple acts such as swarming Percival's enemy, they are able to maintain conversations among them, and they seem to have a certain level of independence. They appear to have considerable physical strength. The golems are also able to heal injuries, track down things and explode causing considerable damage.

Absorption: The magical golems are able to take in attacks aimed at Percival and hold them inside themselves before expelling the attack back in the direction of Percival's opponent.

Flight: Covering his body, Percival can form wings and levitate in the air through his aura. When in a berserk state, he is seen flying unsupported without Hope. Two years later, it is implied that he can fly without the aid of hope or despair.

Mummification: A mysterious ability Percival's first used on Chion when he believed that all his friends were dead. By merely touching living beings they are turned into a state of mummification. This state seemingly cannot be reversed by anyone except for Percival himself through Hope. It seems to derive from the ability of Life Spirits to spread death through despair. This is revealed to be part of his Hope power later as shown when he used that same ability on both Worreldane and Gareth.

Demonic Language: After spending part of his early childhood in the Demon Realm, Percival is said to have learned the "secret language" of Demons from Zeldris and Gelda, which notably allows him to communicate with Lesser Demons such as those of the Dalflare Range or to command directly at the Albions.

Combined Techniques:

Quartet Attack - Slash Squall「四重奏攻撃カルテットアタック - 剣撃の雨スラッシュ・スコール, Karutetto Atakku - Surasshu Sukōru; lit. "Quartet Attack - Rain of Sword"」: Percival, together with Donny, Nasiens and Anghalhad, use their swords in a joint attack against an opponent.[5]

Weapons:

Dragon Handle: A fragment of the Coffin of Eternal Darkness. As the handle seemed "too heavy" for Percival, Howzer made sure to "reforge" it with a "thick" blade for balance. The sword does not appear "especially magical", but is known for its sturdiness.[6] By concentrating Hope's destructive properties into this sword, Percival is able to make it much sharper. The nickname "Percival Sword" is not very popular.

Force Circular「力の循環フォース・サーキュラー, Fōsu Sākyurā; lit. "Circulation of Power"」: A magic sword created by Dubs[7], designed to only be used by a Life Spirit' power of "Eternal Return", the endless cycle of life and death.

Boost「増幅ブースト, Būsuto; lit. "Amplification"」: The Force Circular can harness the element of an incoming attack that it touches and runs it across the blade, allowing Percival to counter-attack.

Potency「活性ポテンシ, Potenshi; lit. "Activity"」: The Force Circular can amplify whatever magical force is imbued in the blade and return it to Percival's body, greatly increasing his physical abilities.

Relationships:

Four Knights of the Apocalypse: Lancelot It seems as though Percival looks up to Lancelot quite a bit, originally shocked at the fact he was a “talking fox”. Once he and Lancelot travel for a while, the two spar as a way to train Percival. Eventually, after unleashing his Life Spirit double, he is able to beat level 1-4 of Lancelot's fighting ability. This included replicas of Pellegard and Ironside. The only version Percival cannot beat is level five, which is Lancelot himself.

While Percival greatly admires Lancelot and looks up to him, in turn, Lancelot is very proud of him and tries to protect him and help him discover and develop his potential.

Tristan Liones Percival is very fond of Tristan and considers him a good companion. He greatly admires his abilities, saying that he possesses a lot of magic. Percival also cares about Tristan enough to fight with Gawain for hitting and disrespecting him.

Gawain At first, Percival didn't like Gawain very much due to his violent and arrogant personality, frequently arguing with her. But as time passes, Percival begins to consider her as an ally and even stands by her side when she told him to abandon her.

Percival Platoon:

Donny Donny was one of the first people that Percival met after leaving God's Finger. At first, Donny takes advantage of Percival's naive personality, stealing all of his things and running. But when Percival is able to catch up with the carriage on foot, Donny hazily allowed him to join. Eventually, as they travel together, Percival and Donny become very close friends and allies.

Nasiens Nasiens originally thinks very little of Percival, and being skeptic of most people, assumes that he's trying to lie to him. When it turns out that Percival was telling the truth, and willingly risks his life for the gorge, which has no meaning for him, Nasiens warms up. He admires Percival, and after Percival continually helps him, he gains romantic feelings for him as well. Percival's feelings for Nasiens are also unknown but it is implied that he relates to Nasiens, and pities him for the loss of his grandfather. Percival is shown several times to especially empathize with those with close relationships with their grandfathers after Ironside killed his own.

Anghalhad Anghalhad seems to have romantic feelings for Percival, although she denies them. Percival's romantic feelings towards Anghalhad are unspecified as of current, but it is shown that he cares deeply for her, as when she gets injured, he rushes to her side to checked on her. He also greatly admires her abilities, stating that she is incredible.

Varghese Varghese is Percival's "grandfather" and was his only family. Percival greatly admired and loved him, as the two had a very good relationship and never showed any signs of anger or annoyance with him. Percival was determined to give up his dream of adventuring in Britannia to accompany his grandfather so that he would not feel alone. In short, Varghese was the special person Percival wanted to protect above all else, and even if he doesn't show it, his death affected him a lot, crying during the cold nights when remembering the warm embrace of his grandfather.

Ironside Ironside is Percival's "father", as well as the murderer of his grandfather Varghese. Although at first he was very curious about its origin and particular means of transportation, Percival is very resentful with him, although it is not clear if he hates him to the point of wanting to kill him, he is determined to find him and defeat him to find out why he did what he did.

Mortlach He was the one who told Percvial why he came to be and was the one who made him leave his host body.

Diodora Percival was shocked to learn about his "brother's" existence and was guilt driven by the fact he was supposed to be in his body when Mortlach told him the truth. They have yet to meet.

Appearance

Lancelot as a Fairy

Lancelot as Sin the Fox

14 years old Lancelot

Lancelot before cutting his hair

Lancelot as depicted in Sin/Lancelot's prophecy When he was 10 years old, Lancelot seems to inherit both of his parents' traits, although he inherited his mother's facial features, causing most people to mistake him for a girl upon meeting him. He had magenta red eyes and short blond hair that reached his chin, but later cut it much shorter to look more like a boy's, revealing the scar he got from Tristan in a fight.

As a teenager, Lancelot is taller and with more defined musculature. His hairstyle is more pointed, more similar to his father's. He wears a sleeveless white and red shirt with a white hood, red pants, and white shoes. These clothes were made by his uncle, King.

As a Fairy, he appeared as a small, chubby, four-winged Fairy with ice greed and blond hair and dark skin. He wears a red and white coat, a black glove on his right hand, a gauntlet on his left wrist, brown pants, and a pair of black shoes.

As Sin, he takes the appearance of a small fox with strawberry red fur covering most of his body, except on the underside and the tip of his tail which are white. He wears a collar with a small crystal pendant around his neck and his eyes often appear closed. This shape and his name are in honor of his father.

Personality At first glance, Lancelot appears to be cheerful and friendly towards a con artist merchant, appearing naive and innocent, but he later revealed a crueler side, similar to his father, when he sees that the merchant was tricking the fairies with junk to get their treasures.

Just like his mother, Lancelot always seems to be a very serious, quiet, stoic and responsible person, however, he also takes a little after his father, such as his sloppy and playful nature. Like his parents, he rarely shows any compassion for his enemy, never hesitating to kill them when necessary. Although he rarely shows it, he cares deeply for those he loves, determined to punish anyone who makes them suffer.

As Sin, he was blunt and straightforward in his conversation with Percival and Donny after saving them from Pellegarde. At first, he showed no interest in Percival, as he did not bother to speak to him until he had reason to believe that the boy was one of the Four Knights of the Apocalypse, as he claims to be part of a group that opposes King Arthur Pendragon and the Holy Knights of Camelot who hunt down the four in hopes of preventing the prophecy of the world's destruction from being in their hands.

His attitude shows that he approaches the matter in a professional manner and casually dismisses Percival's retort that he will not destroy the world, claiming that, despite what the boy intends, it is destined to happen and cannot be avoided.

History Lancelot was born from Ban and Elaine becoming the prince of the Benwick Kingdom.

He visited Liones on prince Tristan's tenth birthday, having a sparring fight with him that left him with a head injury which awakened his ability to read hearts. There he met his father's former companions, including Gowther who showed him Ban's history with the Seven Deadly Sins. After learning how his father was respected as a knight, Lancelot developed a great admiration for him and a desire to be recognized by him.

Abilities and Equipment:

As the son of Ban and Elaine, Lancelot has had above-average combat skills and physical abilities since the age of 10, with better reflexes than an adult Human. He was strong enough to almost completely shatter a rock with a makeshift spear.

At age 16, his physical abilities and combat skills have improved such that he could kill Doronach with a single boost. During his duel against Arthur, he was able to match and even surpass him, thus forcing the king to use his Chaotic Magic. Tristan states that after his "disappearance", Lancelot's power had increased until it completely exceeded his own, allowing him to match the Seven Deadly Sins.

Lancelot has great speed and perception, being able to easily track Fiddich, despite his Haste, even blocking him with a simple kick before he begins to run. He also shows great skills in archery, having enough accuracy to strike the opponent's pressure points with deadly effects.

During his fight against Nanashi, a Goddess comparable to the Four Archangels, aside from handling his armed and unarmed attacks without injury, Lancelot as described by Gawain, unleashed a "laughably huge amount of magical power".

Abilities:

Hazy Moon「朧月ヘイズィ・ムーン, Heizi Mūn」: Lancelot is capable of destroying and disintegrating targets with powerful magical energy. Lancelot states that since no weapon can withstand this power, that's why he seeks to make a suitable weapon from Dubs. During his fight with Nanashi, some of its nature was hinted as Lancelot absorbed the magical power contained in his "secret technique", which once wounded Arthur Pendragon, comparing it to a "river swallowing the inflows".

Magic Energy Manipulation: Lancelot can shape his magical energy into various things, such as weapons, like Talisker's long-staffed axe.[6]

Heart Reading: Much like his mother and the other Fairies, Lancelot is able to decipher the thoughts, memories, and emotions of those around him. His ability seems far superior to that of other Fairies, as he seems able to project his own thoughts into the minds of others.

Photographic Reflexes: By reading the mind of an adversary, or the memories of an ally concerning said adversary, Lancelot becomes able to reproduce their styles of physical combat, without replicating his Magic.[7]

Transformation: Much like his maternal uncle and the other Fairies, Lancelot is able to alter his physical appearance. He usually uses it to transform into a small pink fox named "Sin", but can also impersonate a simple Fairy. His Transformation seems far superior to that of other Fairies, since he seems capable of adopting the abilities of those whose appearance he takes, such as the Levitation of Fairies or the superior strength of Giants.[8]

Weapons:

Spear: When he was little, Lancelot made himself a spear out of "old fer-de-lance" that was prominently used during the New Holy War. This spear seemed to support his Magical Power well, but it seems that Lancelot lost it following his last duel against Tristan.

Fairy Bow「妖精の弓, Yōsei no Yumi」: A shortbow and favored weapon carved by Lancelot out of ebony wood, made as light as a feather thanks to King's "blessing". However, in the hands of someone other than himself, it returns to its original weight. Each of the arrows kept in his gauntlets are enchanted and returns to their original length when removed from it.[9] Lancelot uses the bow and arrows as no other weapon can support his magical power with the magic-imbued arrows being easier to replace. However, the bow ends up being broken by Nanashi's "Shinjo no Kogarashi".

Shirojika「白鹿しろじか, Shirojika; literally meaning "White Deer"」: At first stealing the sword out of Nanashi's hands, Lancelot briefly used it in combat. Having defeated the Goddess, he was then gifted the sword as a sign of acknowledgment of his strength. Lanclot first mocked the sword after Nanashi called it "blunt", but later expressed surprise and joy, hearing it was one of Dubs's creations.

Relationships:

Ban Lancelot has a close and loving relationship with his father. Despite being frustrated with his occasional lack of disposition as king, Lancelot has great admiration for him and constantly tries to act like a responsible adult so that he will recognize and praise him.

Despite staying away for years and showing some embarrassment at being seen by him, Lancelot still retains his admiration for his father, which is demonstrated in how he decides to assume the form and name of "Sin" in honor of him.

Elaine Lancelot is shown to have a good relationship with his mother, being able to talk to her about things that he does not tell his father.

Jericho Lancelot and Jericho have a teacher-disciple relationship. Jericho seems to harbor a certain attraction for him, leading Lancelot to see her as a pervert. Even so, Lancelot always considered Jericho as an older sister and part of his family.

Tristan Liones Tristan and Lancelot have a difficult relationship. Since they were children, both have shown a few rivalries. but after Tristan lost control of his demonic powers on his tenth birthday and attacked Lancelot by surprise and caused an injury to his forehead, this led to a temporary stagnation in relations between them, especially after Lancelot disappeared for three years, but this matter ended after their mission in Edinburgh, as Lancelot explained to Tristan that he would help him whenever he got out of control.

During the Liones Arc, Tristan shows mixed feelings of affection, admiration, envy, and aspiration towards Lancelot, while Lancelot seems to consider Tristan an important friend and cares for him, despite not showing it much to him.

Percival Lancelot met Percival, disguised as Sin, in order to guide him to Liones, being one of the Four Knights of the Apocalypse. After that, their relationship developed into a very deep friendship, which was evident in Lancelot showing a special kind of care and protection towards Percival, and his sadness and blaming himself for Percival's decision to leave.

Guinevere At first, Lancelot is very uncomfortable with Guinevere's actions towards him, with her claiming to be his lover despite never having met him until very recently and vice versa, and kissing him without his permission. But after getting to know her better and finding out about her magical power, Lancelot starts to get a little closer to her and even becomes extremely upset about her kidnapping, despite still not seeing her as a romantic interest in the same way that she does.

Appearance

Armorless Tristan

14 years old Tristan

Tristan's first outfit

Tristan using his goddess powers

Tristan using his demon powers

Tristan as depicted in Sin/Lancelot's prophecy Tristan closely resembles both of his parents. He has the same face and hairstyle as Meliodas, although his hair is long and silver like Elizabeth's. He has heterochromia, his right eye being blue like Elizabeth's and his left emerald green like Meliodas's.

At age 16, he is taller than both his parents and wearing a blue earring closely resembling Elizabeth's on his right ear.

Upon his introduction in The Four Knights of Apocalypse, he wears a collared cyan button-up suit under similarly colored gloves, as well as silver boots and a chestplate baring a golden crest. Over all of this, he wears a baggy, yellow button-up jacket with thick white lining and an orange crest, worn with only the topmost button done. Before leaving Liones, Tristan receives a new outfit composed of a white shirt with turquoise edges on the sleeves and collar frills topped with a winged brooch, black pants and golden armor on the right leg and foot.

When using his Goddess Powers, he gains a triskelion in both eyes. He then can gain Goddess wings for flight.

When fully using his Demon Powers, his eyes turn jet-black, with branch-like lines coming from them, and a large black mark on his forehead in the shape of a 4-pointed star. While less used, he can then also gain demonic wings for flight.

It has also been shown that he can activate both his Goddess powers and Demon powers at the same time, resulting in his left eye being completely black and his right having a triskelion in it. While not always the case it has been shown that the left eye can begin to have dark lines coming from it.[11]

Personality Tristan is a very calm and tenacious boy. He expresses no appreciation about the role of prince, instead preferring to defend his kingdom as a Holy Knight.[12] He holds a great sense of justice and feels the need to protect his kingdom any threats, including his father and the Seven Deadly Sins for their framed actions. Later, Tristan is introduced to the story of the Sins, making him want to follow in his father's heroic footsteps.

After accidentally injuring Lancelot with his Demon powers[13], Tristan became traumatized by incident and developed distaste for violence and the said power, and by extension any association with it or even being compared to his father at it. Instead, Tristan becomes more of a pacifist like his mother, and enjoys any comparison to her. He also prefers using his Goddess powers during combat. However, he is not hesitant to use force when need arises.[14]

Tristan is extremely avoidant of ever using his Demon power. Without Lancelot around as the only one he trusts that can stop himself[15], he would opt to use only his Goddess power, or both Demon and Goddess powers at the same time, despite the disadvantages. While using only Demon power, Tristan loses control over himself, becoming more violent and quickly losing the ability to converse reason, even throwing tantrums against his father.[16]

Abilities/Equipment:

As the son of Meliodas and Elizabeth, and perhaps especially as the grandson of the Supreme Deity and the Demon King, Tristan has possessed above average combat skills since the age of 10, both with bare hands or with a sword. Even Gowther finds he possesses an impressive Power Level for a boy of his age.[17]

At age 16, his fighting skills seem to have greatly improved. He is also shown to have inherited Goddess powers from his mother and Demon powers from his father, which he can manifest either separately or simultaneously.[18]

Abilities:

Nova「新星ノヴァ, Nova」: Tristan's inherent magic power.[19]

Ark「聖櫃アーク, Āku; literally meaning "Holy Chest"」: As a descendant of the Goddesses, Tristan is able to generate and manipulate "Divine Light" in the form of particles capable of disintegrating anything they touch, which is particularly effective in Demons and Vampires, but not Chaos Magic.[20]

Full Counter「全反撃フルカウンター, Furukauntā」: Allows Tristan to reflect magic attacks used against him towards the opponent, but with more or less Magic Power.[21] Initially, Tristan could only use it to return magical attacks with only half their initial magnitude.[22] However, over the years, Tristan has become capable of using Full Counter just as well as his father.[23]

Power of Darkness: As a descendant of Demons, Tristan can manipulate their Dark Magic for various purposes, such as increasing his physical power. However, Tristan states that the time he can use it is limited, and that he doesn't like to use it because it can make him lose control of his actions and then find it difficult for him to go back.[24][25] In this state, Tristan is able to rip parts of Melagaland's body with ease, whereas before none of his attacks or those of the other three Knights of the Apocalypse had barely done anything to him.[26][27] He had even been able to repel Melagaland's Meifu no Bansan by his magical aura alone.[28]

Hellblaze「獄炎ヘルブレイズ, Herubureizu; literally meaning "Hellfire"」: Tristan can also tap into the Flames of Purgatory and project them into inextinguishable black flames.[29]

Dark Snow「黒雪ダーク・スノウ, Dāku Sunou; literally meaning "Black Snow"」: Tristan generates and disperses countless compressed dark particles before propelling them against the opponent.[30]

Annihilation「消滅領域アナイアレイション, Anaiareishon; literally meaning "Area of Extinction"」: Tristan combines his Falling Star with his Dark Snow, causing both forces to cancel out each other and cause a chain explosion.[31]

Slash Canon「正邪の追走曲スラッシュ・カノン, Surasshu Kanon; literally meaning "Canon of Right and Wrong"」: Tristan assaults the opponent with a multitude of lightning-fast sword swings that end up triggering an explosion.[32]

Flight: As a descendant of the Goddesses, Tristan can deploy two pairs of ethereal white-feathered wings allowing him to move through the air. Its feathers turn black when He deploys his Demon power.[33]

Weapons:

It is stated that Tristan possesses several swords.[34]. Among them are two of his top favorites, which he dual wields.

"Mael"「マエル, Maeru」, a sword with a Goddess inspired design, very light to wield and enchanted by Thetis to make Tristan less susceptible to enemy mental attacks.[35]

"Estarossa"「エスタロッサ, Esutarossa」, a sword with a Demon inspired design, very heavy to wield and enchanted by Thetis to increase Tristan's magical defense, as well as the success rate of his attacks.[36]

Dragon Handle: A fragment of the Coffin of Eternal Darkness. Tristan took it from Percival after his "death", using it instead of his sword Mael.

Relationships

Family Meliodas Meliodas is Tristan's father. At first Tristan considered him a short, irresponsible and alcoholic person who touches Elizabeth's breasts every day, but after witnessing the real story of the Seven Deadly Sins from Gowther, he comes to respect him as a hero and desires to become one of the Seven Deadly Sins. As he gets older, he seems to harbor resistance to using his demonic powers and is happy when an enemy says he and his father are not alike. Tristan was shown to be somewhat jealous of the trust and respect Meliodas shows Lancelot[37], when fighting against King Arthur.

Elizabeth Liones Tristan is shown to have a close and loving relationship with his mother as he trusts her by confiding in her when he believes his father and the other Sins to be evil traitors. He also seems to be overjoyed when Chaos Melascula compared him to her[38]. Tristan is also shown to be curious about his mother's past and wanting to know about the origins of her nickname "Bloodstained Ellie"[39]. He also displays favoritism towards and comfort with his mother's powers.

Holy Knights of Liones Isolde Tristan cares about her but is unaware of her implied feelings for him. Tristan thinks she's earnest and straightforward.[40]

Four Knights of the Apocalypse Percival The two have shown to have a friendly bond with each other. When the two first met, Percival had lost control of himself after the Tristan Platoon was attacking his friends, deeply wounding them. When Tristan saw this, not knowing the full situation, they tusseled and, during their fight, he thought Percival might be a demon due to the language he was speaking, but he ruled it out after Percival was not affected by his Ark. After he was brought back to his senses by his friends and the situation got explained, Tristan and Percival started bonding, recognizing each other's abilities and potential, learning more about each other, and fighting alongside each other. Following the fight in Liones, they have become comrades and protect each other.

After Percival's sacrifice, it appears that Tristan had a kind of anger towards him, considering his departure to be selfish and an abandonment of responsibility.

Lancelot Tristan and Lancelot have a complicated relationship. Since they were children, both have shown a few rivalries. But after Tristan lost control of his demonic powers when they were children and attacked Lancelot by surprise, causing an injury to his forehead, this led to a temporary stagnation in the relationship between them, especially after Lancelot disappeared for three years, but this matter was resolved after their mission in Edinburgh, as Lancelot explained to Tristan that he would help him whenever he got out of control.

Tristan shows mixed feelings of affection, admiration, envy and aspiration towards Lancelot.

Gawain Tristan has been shown to be friendly towards her and knowledgeable of exactly what to say to cheer her up by reinforcing her belief that she is the strongest. The two have had their disagreements especially when it comes to dealing with an enemy and again when Gawain attacked Percival.

Shrunk Gawain

Gawain in his armor

Gawain as depicted in Sin/Lancelot's prophecy Gawain is a very small girl with a voluptuous body, rather short dark blue hair with bangs and blue eyes. When using Dawn, Gawain becomes much taller and more muscular.

Gawain wears white armor complete with gold trim and a helmet that hides his face. Underneath, she wears a green strapless jumpsuit with floral details on the bust and gold boots with sun prints on the knees. Before leaving Liones, Gawain is given a new outfit that resembles a mix of Merlin and Escanor's outfits.

After the timeskip, Gawain has let his hair grow to his shoulders and his locks have become more wavy. Her hair is also parted on the side and she no longer has bangs.

Personality Gawain is secretive as she didn't remove her armor for the entire time that Tristan escorted her back to Liones and after Tristan had left her inside the castle alone, she immediately fled and ditched her armor since nobody knew what she looked like underneath and allowed her to blend in with everyone else.

At first glance, Gawain is portrayed as a rather kind person when she tried consoling Isolde, who ran from Tristan out of embarrassment.

Gawain has shown sexual or romantic interest towards other female characters: For example, explicitly and openly flirting with Isolde upon meeting her for the first time, talking about romance and love, or directly ogling all over Anghalhad and Isolde's bodies.

Gawain has a rebellious side to her as she claims that she doesn't like following anyone's orders, evident in how she left the castle despite being asked by Tristan to stay put until Lancelot and the others arrived. In addition to this, she is also callous as referred to Pellegarde as a "sniveling little fire-eater" just for talking back to her and then using her magic to blow him back for ruining her "romance" with Isolde.

Underneath her elegant, she is petty and very quick to anger those who personally wrong her, even if their offenses against her are minor, such as wanting to kill Pellegarde not for being an enemy knight or for putting others manner at risk, but simply for calling her a "little girl" and goes to extreme measures to do so by chasing him out of the kingdom and attacking him, not caring if Percival was struck by her attack in the process but also showing visible wrath at Percival preventing her from landing a finishing blow on the injured knight.

As a result of her overwhelming power, pride and royal lineage, Gawain developed a high opinion of herself and ego, making her believe she was unbeatable. As noted when Pellegarde defeated and criticized both her inexperience and lack of control, she could become pushed to tears at her damaged pride, acting like a spoiled child throwing a temper tantrum and claiming that she is the strongest, only calming down after Tristan reassured her that she was, showing that underneath her facade and vanity, she is an undisciplined child who creates obsessively when things don't go her way or when she is humbled by someone more powerful or experienced than herself.

It is also shown she has some sort of fear of her uncle shown after the battle against Melagaland.

History Gawain was at some point adopted by Kay Pendragon, becoming the niece of the current king of Camelot, Arthur. Gawain grew up with no knowledge of his true origins. Aside from her adoptive father, she was raised by two magical puppets whom she considered her "grandparents", with her "grandma" teaching her everything she knew about magic.

At some point during Percival and his group's journey to the Kingdom of Liones, Tristan had encountered Gawain and discovered her as the last member of the Four Knights of the Apocalypse. He escorted her back to the castle where, for unknown reasons, Gawain fled the scene after Tristan left to take care of an incident within the city.

At some point after this, Gawain ditched her armor since nobody knew what she looked like underneath, allowing her to blend in with the citizens of Liones wandering the streets.

Abilities/Equipment

As one of the Four Knights of the Apocalypse and current wielder of the most powerful Grace, Gawain is a powerful individual capable of standing up to even former members of the Ten Commandments empowered with Chaos magic. However, Pellegarde notes that her lack of experience makes her unable to harness her full power.

Gawain is also an accomplished magician, with a good knowledge in spells. She is able to use magic to levitate in the air, create illusions, and cast offensive spells. Notably, she requires of verbal incantations to use most of her spells.

During the two years Percival was away, Gawain developed a better command of her power, acquiring a much larger and stronger daytime form and being able to use Dawn's techniques without transforming.

Abilities:

Dawn「曙光ドーン, Dōn」[3]: A power that allows Gawain to harness the power of the sun, as she proclaims herself as the "Master of The Sun". This power appears to be very similar to the Goddess Clan's Grace, Sunshine.

Teleport「瞬間移動テレポート, Terepōto; literally meaning "Teleportation"」: High-level teleportation magic that allows Gawain to appear and disappear at precise locations and teleport groups of people instantly.[5]

Apport「物体転移アポート, Apōto; literally meaning "Object Transition"」: A subsidiary technique that allows to teleport objects to different locations. Gawain used it offensively in conjunction with his sword Rhitta.[6]

Weapons

Sacred Sword Rhitta「神刀じんとうリッタ, Jintō Ritta」: A sword whose blade comes directly from a fragment of the broken blade of Escanor's Divine Axe. Much like Escanor, the blade is far too heavy for anyone other than Gawain to lift like a "common dagger" and Gawain can call to it with the sound of his voice, no matter how far away it is separates them.[16] Gawain can either hold it in his hand like a normal sword, or levitate it "slightly" to perform long-range attacks. The blade also retains the property of accumulating solar energy for Gawain to use. [17]

Magic Items

An unnamed Incantation Orb that stocks pudding. [17] Anti-Aware Rings: Rings imbued with Mental and Deceptive magic that hide the user's identity from hostile eyes.[18]

Relationships

Family Arthur Pendragon Gawain is the niece of King Arthur. [19] Not much else between the two is known, other than the fact she seems to fear him.

Four Knights of Apocalypse Tristan Liones At first she refused to listen to Tristan but after being defeated and breaking down crying in battle, Tristan was able to cheer her up and regain her pride earning her trust to him. After Gawain is captured in the Demon Realm by Mortlach, Tristan doesn't think twice about rushing in to save her. Telling her he doesn't want to think he wasted time convincing her to join Liones. Later on in the battle against the Testament Beast, Gawain encourages Tristan by stating that while they are both washouts they must "claw their way to the top" and tells him they must show the pride of a washout.

Lancelot The two haven't interacted much but Gawain was shocked into his power after calling him a moron for challenging King Arthur. Later on in the Demon Realm, when Gawain is in danger Lancelot with Tristan and Percival rushes in to save her claiming that he still owes her pudding.

Percival Gawain didn't care for him at first due to his prideful nature. When she was battling Chaos Galand she gets angry at him for accidentally catching her in an explosion Percival created to finish off Chaos Galand, making her chase him down out of anger. However, as they spend time together among the Knights of the Apocalypse, Gawain learns to "put up with" Percival's presence and behavior. It was only when Percival finally "died" after his victory against Mortlach that Gawain finally admitted that she had come to consider Percival her "comrade".

Who are the grateful horsemen of the apocalypse?:

Overview The Four Knights of the Apocalypse, as their name indicates, are said to be an order of just four knights, who each hold unique powers and are foretold to emerge in the not-so-distant future.

It is prophesied that these "Knights of Prophecy" will destroy the world itself after they appear — by bringing upon four different calamities — and are destined to bring the King Arthur and the Kingdom of Camelot to their ruin. Hence, Camelot's Holy Knights have taken on the mission of locating and killing these four would-be knights in order to prevent the prophecy's fulfillment, while the Kingdom of Liones are said to similarly be in search of them.[2][3][4]

It has been discovered that, while real, the four "knights" have yet to form a group or even be Holy Knights proper. Supposedly, they are still young boys more likely to be knight apprentices, hence they being said to not yet "exist" in the present. Part of the prophesy is an abstract vision of the four[5]:

One possessing "gold-colored magic"; One having both holiness and evil in his eyes; One being mysterious with no fixed appearance; One with "verdant, wing-like hair". Percival is the first Knight to be revealed. After Percival's group arrives at Liones, both Lancelot and Tristan are revealed to be Knights of the Apocalypse too.[6] Finally, the fourth Knight is revealed to be Gawain.

It is later revealed that their destiny of "destroying the world" indeed refers to putting an end to Camelot's dimension since its existence is endangering the world. In fact, the four are destined to save the true world.

When Percival "dies" by abandoning his human existence to return to being a Life Spirit, the prophecy of the Four Knights of the Apocalypse was thought to be broken. However, Percival was revived two years later, setting the prophecy back into motion.
