He can often be seen with a rifle slung over his shoulder.

Niragi is portrayed as a young but dangerous militant member of the Beach. He typically displays unstable and aggressive behavior and uses means of violence, intimidation, and psychological torture to achieve his goals. Although he is content to follow orders and obey the leader, his captain Aguni, he enjoys the power that his position as second in command gives him and abuses it with little regard for the lives or well-being of others.

His unstable and unpredictable nature is the result of childhood trauma caused by severe bullying during his school years and a life of isolation and ostracism. Due to his experiences in the real world, Niragi grew up believing that humanity is inherently evil, and began to use the dystopian and lawless state of the Borderland to satisfy his lust for power and status, which he lacks in the real world. His initially manic and exaggerated behavior, which he carried himself with in the Beach as Aguni's second-in-command, is significantly weakened after he suffers debilitating injuries and loses his position of power with the collapse of the Beach, now displaying a calmer, albeit more cynical and nihilistic attitude.

At his core, Niragi is a deeply lonely and embittered individual, desperately trying to find common ground with those he sees as similar to himself, namely Arisu and Chishiya, who he claims are inherently as selfish and outcasts as himself. He seeks to corrupt the souls of those who hold onto the hope and ideals he has long abandoned, instead choosing to spread the pain and suffering he himself endured in the past and become a hated and despised person of his own free will. When confronted with his own deplorable actions, Niragi becomes distracted from them and instead chooses to blame the world around him for his misdeeds rather than take responsibility for himself.

Due to his initially timid nature and plain appearance, Niragi became a victim of cruel bullying and physical harassment.
