Quintesson High Commander

Before becoming Optimus Prime, Orion Pax was a medium-height bot with blue eyes, a blue helmet-like part around his head with a grey emblem on the front, a red upper torso, wrists and elbows, and his legs, feet, and hands are also blue. The rest of his body is metallic silver. However, he is noticeably dirty and has an empty cog hole in the middle of his chest.

After gaining his transformation cog, the dirt on Orion's body disappeared and his body became notably shiny. Out of the sides of his "helmet", sticking out, are two antennas, on his upper arms are two smokestacks, and on the back of his legs are wheels, all representing his alt mode as a truck. His chest has a front window that is slightly abstract, and his limbs all have noticeable upgraded machine components.

Orion Pax was free spirited, laid back, selfless and adventurous. While he was dedicated to his task as a miner, he would try to find any opportunity to engage in activities beyond his limited caste to prove that he could be "more than meets the eye", always convincing his fellow miner and best friend D-16 to accompany him, who would do so begrudgingly, enjoying the adventure, yet being remorseful afterwards, which Orion would try to argue away. He tended to be short-sighted, in that he found the appeal of challenging the status quo but failed to consider the potential risks and consequences. Despite his playful attitude, Orion wasn't irresponsible, as should an accident or danger arise, he would be first to put himself in danger to rescue anyone caught by it.

Orion hates Darkwing for his abusive behavior towards him and the miners, willing to go as far as flipping him off, though D-16 intervened before he could. When he return to Iacon after learning the truth, Orion punched Darkwing for all the suffering that he and the miners had been put through.

Orion, like all in Iacon, held high respect for Sentinel Prime, but would break the rules for the opportunity to impress him instead of keeping his head down to avoid trouble like D-16 preferred. Upon learning the truth of how Sentinel had betrayed the Primes and their whole race in a deal with the Quintessons, Orion had quickly matured but also had developed doubts that he never had when certain about his world. Even as an aloof bot, Orion was a natural leader, but did not desire the station due to not believing that he was good enough to be in charge. Orion became increasingly concerned during D-16's escalating mental breakdown due to Sentinel's deception, but he did not know how to help his friend beyond his usual attempts to bond with him and alleviate his fears, although less successfully.

Cybertronian Physiology/Matrix of Leadership Enhancement: Orion Pax possesses the natural abilities inherent to all Cybertronians; but after receiving a T-Cog from Alpha Trion and the acquisition of the Matrix of Leadership, elevate him far beyond any average Cybertronians.

Superhuman Strength: Even as a cog-less Cybertronian, Orion was exceptionally strong, being capable of leaping across vast gaps and yanking Jazz out of a rockfall. Upon receiving the Matrix and becoming a Prime, Optimus' strength is also greatly enhanced as he effortlessly fights back Starscream and other powerful High Guard members, additionally slicing Megatron’s cannon cleanly in two.
Superhuman Durability: As a Cybertronian, Orion is composed entirely of metal and electronic components, allowing him to endure serious blows with minimal injury. This is displayed by how he manages to endure getting struck by Darkwing in his jet mode during the Iacon 5000 and manages to deflect Megatron’s flurry of punches at his body.
Superhuman Speed: Being a Cybertronian, Orion is naturally larger than most humans, resulting in a greater stride distance and speed. In his vehicle mode, he is also capable of moving at speeds comparable to the fastest trucks seeing as he manages to accelerate fast enough to knock Megatron down.
Superhuman Agility: Orion is rather nimble and agile, being able to largely outpace and outrun the Cybertronian guardsmen even without a cog.
Superhuman Stamina: Orion possesses extraordinary stamina thanks to his Cybertronian physiology, being capable of running and vaulting throughout a great stretch of Iacon while escaping the Cybertronian guard.
Superhuman Reflexes: Upon gaining his transformation cog, Orion seems to be able to activate certain aspects of his body via reflexes alone.
Transformation: Upon gaining his cog, Orion can turn into a truck, allowing him to traverse terrain at extreme speeds. He can also use his truck mode's exhaust pipes to fly and as flamethrowers.

Master Combatant: He is a highly powerful fighter in advanced combat, combining hand-to-hand techniques, weapon usage and even switching between robot and vehicle forms partially or fully to maintain an edge.
Master Axeman: Despite recently accessed it, Optimus displayed great proficiency with his Energon Axe, able to wield it as a melee weapon or hurling it as a projectile.
Master Leader: Even from his days as a miner, Optimus already displayed a potential to be a capable leader from rallying his friends to the surface and later, leading an uprising to end Sentinel's reign for good. For this reason, Primus rewarded him with the Matrix of Leadership as a sign of Optimus being prepared to lead an entire Autobot empire for the upcoming battles and challenges.
