Tenten is a Chūnin-rank kunoichi from Konohagakure who, along with Neji Hyūga and Rock Lee, was part of Team Guy.

Tenten is very straightforward, expressive, and spontaneous. Despite this, she never disrespects other people, although she often has small "blunders." She is almost always cheerful and tries to help both in the morale and in her actions of her teammates. She is usually always calling out her sensei Might Guy and her teammate Lee for their behavior. She also has great respect for her teammate Neji and often helps him train. Tenten firmly believes that a female kunoichi can be just as strong as a male ninja. Tenten can be quite fierce at times, especially towards Lee, who she shakes violently whenever he is knocked unconscious. She has also shown a strong dislike for weakness or being too dependent on other people. Despite this, she is not above showing a softer side when it comes to her teammates. Tenten also has an inquisitive nature, not liking being kept out of the loop.

Tenten has brown eyes, long brown hair tied into two buns. Her clothing consists of a white blouse and burgundy pants. She wears black fingerless gloves. She has a large summoning tool on her back that she uses when fighting. Her appearance has always referenced Chinese culture.

Konoha also known as the "Village Hidden in the Leaves" or "Village Hidden in the Leaf" is the hidden village of the Land of Fire. As one of the Five Great Ninja Villages, Konoha has a Kage as its leader known as the Hokage. In total, Konoha has had six Hokages, with Kakashi Hatake being the current one. On a mountain overlooking the village from the north rises the Hokage Rock. Even though Konoha, like the country it resides in, has been relatively peaceful, it is still one of the most powerful villages in existence, having great military power and influence.
