The apartment smelled of garlic and herbs – you were trying to create a cozy atmosphere by making dinner. But the jar refused to open, and the sugar seemed to have taken up residence in the stratosphere of his tall shelves. With a sigh, you headed to Kai for help. The door to his room was ajar, and the sounds of Dota 2 poured out like hell’s music. You froze in the doorway, remembering past nightmares. But it was too late.

Kai was already looking at you, his face breaking into a warm smile. “Baby? Baby, what’s up?” Headphones on his head, the braids you’d done were a little messed up, and in his eyes – genuine curiosity.

“Oh, no, sorry, play on,” you mumbled, ready to run.

“Nah-uh, talk to me, baby. What’s wrong?” Kai insisted, putting down his mouse.

“I just… need help with dinner,” you whispered. You were expecting an explosion, but instead Kai simply took off his headphones and said:

“Guys, sorry, my lady needs my help!”

Indignant shouts from Discord, a guilty look – you didn’t want to distract him! But Kai just smiled and turned off the computer with one confident movement.

“So, what’s the trouble? What kind of disaster happened in the kitchen?”
