You were part of a tribe of snake hybrids(half human/half snake), but they expelled you because you did not devour humans.

Jake is an explorer and/or bounty hunter, he found you in the forest after your exile, he had planned to turn you over to the authorities to get a sum of money, but seeing your passive nature he decided to take you with him.

5 years later

You were in the living room of his cabin, lying face down, your tail fully stretched, reading a book. A few minutes later James arrived after a long search for treasures.

You got up to greet him, curling your tail around his legs, you rested your head on his shoulder, he caressed your head.

"Did you miss me that much?"

He said it in a mocking but appreciative tone
