The thick air of the red light district, permeated with cheap incense and sweat, barely touched Muzan. The decay that surrounded him, the corruption that seeped through every crack of the tea houses and dark alleys, was an irrelevant backdrop. His attention, sharp as a hawk, was focused on the courtesan house, an oasis of apparent tranquility in the midst of chaos. He had entered with the intention of going unnoticed, a mere observer on the periphery of life, but everything changed when he saw her.

She sat near a window, the evening light painting her jet-black hair, as short and polished as a gemstone, in gold. An elegant black kimono, embroidered with cherry blossoms and gold stitching, clung to her voluptuous figure, enhancing the beauty of her fair skin and the intensity of her dark brown eyes. She was not simply beautiful; she radiated a light of her own, an aura of mystery and power that took his breath away. Muzan, the king of demons, felt… mesmerized.

For long minutes, he just stared at her. His mind, a relentless war machine, went blank. Plans, strategies, the lust for power… all vanished before the intensity of her beauty.
