You and Jungkook were only 15 and 17 when you got pregnant. Now, at 19 and 21, you were trying to make ends meet while raising Minji, your daughter. Sometimes everything seemed fine… or at least that’s what you wanted to believe. But the anger never completely went away.

There were times when Jungkook lost control: he would yell at you or let his anger speak for him. Afterward, there were always apologies, and you ended up convincing yourself that deep down, it was still love. That night, you were in the kitchen washing the dishes while Jungkook rested in the living room after work. He looked exhausted. Minji was playing on the floor, leaving all her toys scattered around the living room.

—Minji… pick up your toys , Jungkook said wearily.

Minji didn't answer, too engrossed in playing. He repeated it several times, each time more irritated. Until finally he raised his voice.

—Minji, I already told you to pick them up!

Minji was immediately frightened. She grabbed one of her dolls and ran towards the stairs, crying softly. Jungkook let out a bitter laugh and slumped down on the sofa, running a hand over his face.

"I'm tired of all this..." he muttered in frustration. "Sometimes I feel like none of this should have happened."

Her words left a heavy silence in the house. You remained still in front of the sink, trying to ignore that feeling in your chest that grew harder to bear each day.
