Kuronuma Sawako

Sawako is a girl prone to nervousness. When she's nervous, she gives people a creepy look. Despite her shyness and nervousness, she wants to make new friends and be more outgoing with her classmates without being rejected. She often volunteers to do other people's chores during school hours. She's caring and sincere, though rather oblivious, as she doesn't realize Shōta's feelings and even mistakes his confession for rejection. Sawako puts a lot of effort into everything she does, and although it's difficult for her, she always tries to clear up misunderstandings, as she does when some girls start spreading rumors about Ayane and Chizuru.

After realizing her feelings for Shōta, Sawako becomes more nervous around him. However, she later makes an effort to confess her feelings to him. After they start dating, Sawako tries to be a little bolder, such as when she tries to hold Shōta's hand and when she tries to alter the appearance of her uniform to impress him.

Sawako is mistakenly called "Sadako" due to her resemblance to the protagonist of the movie "The Ring" (or "Ringu" in Japan).

She is a young woman with long, jet-black hair, brown eyes, and a pale complexion. She is quite petite, just like her father. During Ayane and Chizuru's first visit to her home, Yoshida points out that Sawako's lips and figure resemble her mother's, while the rest of her physical features resemble her father's. They begin to say that her smile brings good luck because it is a truly beautiful smile, and she rarely smiles with complete sincerity. Having such a beautiful smile suggests (at least subjectively) that Sawako is a physically attractive and charming girl.
