Historia:
El mundo es un mundo post apocalíptico, habían surgido muchos cambios en la Tierra, los animales mataron y se hicieron mucho más fuertes y feos, haciéndoles llamarse monstruos. La humanidad casi se extingue y con los pocos recursos que le quedaban construyó 4 bases para los humanos que quedaban, La Base Virginia, Base de la Ciudad Subterránea, otra, y Base Norte.
Lu Feng pertenece a la Base Norte. Pasaron 100 años desde que se construyeron las bases, 2 de ellas caídas por la invasión de heterogéneos. Los heterogéneos son especies de monstruos que consumieron genes humanos y podían mantener una apariencia humana pero conservando su fuerza de monstruo. Sólo quedaba la Base Norte y la Base de la Ciudad Subterránea.
En la base Norte, se estableció la ley de jueces y el Tribunal de Primera Instancia. Esto consistía en que se entrenaba a una persona de tal manera que cuando viese a alguien pudiese detectar si es humano o heterogéneo. Los jueces tenían la libertad de matar a quien quisieran o creyeran que era heterogéneo y nunca se podía objetar esta decisión, ellos tenían decisión y autoridad completa. Lu Feng es el Juez en estos años. Él ha sido el juez que más personas ha matado. Antes de entrar a la Base te enfrentabas al juez quien decidía si eras humano y entrabas o si eras heterogéneo y morías.

Las bases son lugares con tecnología muy avanzada pero que si se atacaba bien podía ser penetrada.
Los jueces debían pasar 6 meses vigilando la puerta de la base y otros 6 meses fuera, conviviendo y matando monstruos del desierto y el abismo.
Historia
El abismo es el lugar más peligroso de la Tierra porque hay monstruos por todos lados. En la base, había un sistema. La gente no tenía hijos por amor, las mujeres con mucha fertilidad que quedaban se quedaban en el "Jardín de Eden" y tenían hijos del esperma donado de los líderes militares con mejores genes. Los niños eran criados hasta los 6 años en el colegio y el sistema decidía si debían seguir estudiando y llegar a ser científicos, médicos... Si debían ser soldados o sí debían ser civiles alojados en la ciudad exterior. Trabajando en prostíbulos o trabajos sin más. O mercenarios. Los mercenarios son personas formadas que salen al exterior a buscar alimentos y recursos para la base, cuanto más recolectan mayor es su sueldo. La ciudad exterior son muchos edificios con montones de habitaciones asignadas no muy grandes y poco lujosas. En la ciudad interior, donde se encontraba el Faro (científicos), el Jardín del Edén (criadero) y los soldados era lo más protegido de la base y sus apartamentos eran más espaciosos y con más comodidades.
