Who is Chase Young?:
Chase Young was a renegade Xiaolin monk who turned evil in exchange for superhuman strength and immortality. Chase was once a former Xiaolin Warrior and almost a Xiaolin Dragon until Hannibal Roy Bean appeared. Chase served as a permanent villain for the Xiaolin Monks.
Chase Young Story:
At first, Chase was on the side of good, and helped Grandmaster Dashi with Master Monk Guan defeat Wuya. But very soon after his victory, he traded his soul to Hannibal Roy Bean for the Lao Mang Long Soup, only to achieve his destiny as the greatest warrior of all time on the Heylin side. Hannibal was able to trick Chase with a fake "hologram" of his former best friend, Master Monk Guan, saying that he would soon destroy Chase. Thanks to this lie, he drank the Lao Mang Lone Soup, gaining eternal youth and the ability to transform into a dragon-like creature at will.
Immediately after turning evil, he betrayed Hannibal Bean and sealed him in the Ying-Yang World for 1,500 years.
At one point, Chase was on the side of good; however, he was told by Hannibal Roy Bean that he could only achieve his destiny as the greatest warrior of all time on the side of Heylin. Hannibal showed him a fake hologram of Chase Young's best friend, Master Monk Guan, in which Guan claimed that soon Chase Young would "stand in his shadow". This convinced Chase to drink the Lao Mang Lone Soup, which drained him of most of his good chi, gave him eternal youth, enhanced his strength, and provided him with the ability to transform into a lizard at will. The soup's main ingredient is a dragon. But Chase, so overwhelmed by his newfound power, betrayed Hannibal Bean and sealed him in the Ying-Yang World for many years. Chase has lived so long that he has been all over the world. Wherever he went, he defeated great warriors. Whenever he defeats a warrior, Chase takes control of their chi and physical form, transforming them into a legion of "Jungle Cats." The Jungle Cats were once lions, tigers, and panthers, but at Chase's command, they revert to human form or other bird-like forms. Chase can give these animal minions any order with the snap of his fingers.
season 1:
Sometime after the events of the final episode, Chase realized that it would be easier to defeat the Xiaolin if he had some help. So he turned one of his ribs into Shadow. Shadow became Chase's apprentice and he passed on his knowledge to him in order to become more and more powerful.
After a few months, Chase sent Shadow to the Xiaolin Temple. Shadow transformed into a sweet girl who seduced the boys of the temple. That way, she managed to learn where the vault was and what the combination to it was. Chase stole all the Shen Gong Wu, defeated Master Fung, and destroyed the Xiaolin Temple. After that, one of Chase's plans failed, due to Jack's stupidity and he cooperated with the monks to help him solve the problem. Later, he transformed Raimundo, Kimiko, Ping Pong, and Clay into feline warriors. However, his powerful plans to conquer the world with Raimundo, Kimiko, Clay, and Ping Pong failed when Omi won a Showdown and regained his friends' freedom. After that, Chase seemed to be interested in Tigress and wanted to make her his ally, which made Shadow jealous.
season 2:
He first met the monks when Master Monk Guan traded Dojo for the return of his Spear of Guan. Chase wanted the dragon to be an ingredient to make his Lao Mang Lon Soup. However, when the monks arrived to rescue Dojo, they were no match for the villain, until Master Monk Guan returned and defeated Chase in a showdown. Chase honored his defeat and let them all go, as he gave his word that he would let them go if he lost.
For the rest of the season, Chase Young proved to be a formidable foe for the young monks and an idol for the "evil boy genius", Jack Spicer (much to Chase's chagrin). He used Jack as a pawn in most of his schemes, despite his hatred of the would-be world conqueror's presence. Chase takes an interest in Omi to the point that he even allied himself with Wuya in his grand scheme to convert Omi to the Heylin side.
Now it was time to put his plan into action; he sent Master Fung to the Ying-Yang World to have Omi go to the Ying-Yang World with the newly revealed Shen Gong Wu, the Ying Yo-Yo. He did this so that when Omi returned he would have left all his good Chi behind and turned evil, plunging the world into 1000 years of darkness. His plan worked perfectly.
season 2:
Now that the world was his and Omi had turned to Heylin's side, he returned to the Xiaolin Temple to have Wuya obtain the Serpent's Tail and the Reverse Mirror, so that he could return her to human form. However, when he returned her to human form, he did not release her divine powers; for if she obtained them, she would be more powerful than him. The reasons why he returned her to human form and how he managed to do so without restoring her powers are currently unknown, though he considered her a worthy partner in evil.
Unbeknownst to Chase, the monks traveled to the Ying-Yang World to obtain Omi and Master Fung's chi, which would make them good again. They were successful in this mission. However, much to their disappointment, Omi, in his evil state, had sworn loyalty to Chase. Thus, he made him one of his slaves as a Jungle Cat, and with Omi's power combined with his own, Chase was able to become even more powerful than before.
The world was theirs and the monks had no hope since the Chi Creature was unleashed on the earth and took their Chi. However, Dojo and the now Good Jack Spicer returned to the Ying-Yang World to retrieve their Chi and bring them back to Chase's Palace where the monks challenged Chase to a Xiaolin Duel for Omi's freedom. The monks were successful and the world returned to normal, including Omi's freedom.
season 3:
For most of the season, Chase lived in his palace with Wuya and they worked together on many occasions. However, when Hannibal Roy Bean returned, Wuya sided with him to come up with a plan to destroy Chase during the Heylin Eclipse, but they failed and Wuya and Hannibal parted ways. He also teamed up with Jack occasionally to try and gain more Wu. Sometime after these events, Chase and Wuya decided to stick together "for the sake of evil" and joined the other villains in the showdown in the last episode.
Omi decided to go back in time to try and stop Hannibal Bean from turning Chase Young to the Heylin side. In this alternate present, Chase Young was the trainer of Omi, Raimundo, Kimiko, and Clay, but they were on bad terms with few Wu due to several encounters with Wuya and an evil Master Monk Guan (who was tricked by Hannibal). Omi realized that this plan did not end up working out the best, and thus the timeline was changed back to its original history (with Chase Young on the Heylin side); this was accomplished with Chase Young's help in freeing Omi, Raimundo, Kimiko, Clay, Dojo, and Jack Spicer from the cage. Despite this, Omi still seems to have hopes of returning Chase to the side of good.

Chase Young's Physique:
Chase Young had two distinctive forms: one was his human form, which resembled his body before he turned evil, having white skin, long black hair, a burly frame, as well as having draconic features such as slit-like reptilian eyes, and his true form was that of a monstrous bipedal dragon due to his consumption of the Lao Mang Long soup. Chase Young has lived for over 1,500 years, yet he has the appearance of a young adult, due to the soup granting him immortality at the cost of his soul.
Chase Young used to wear a dark golden armor at all times when he was in his human form. The armor would break when he changed into his dragon form, but would reform after changing form again.
In his life before being altered by Lao Mang Long Soup, Chase was ordinary and unassuming, without pointy ears or slanted eyes. He wore a simple blue martial arts uniform and had his hair combed back.
Chase's Personality:
Chase is a very proud and narcissistic character, who holds his fighting skills in high regard. He regards most other characters as inferior to him, showing no respect or even acknowledgement of their abilities (with the possible exception of Hannibal Roy Bean).
This ego also affects his modus operandi; most of his plans are inherently grandiose. He spends most of the second season turning Omi evil, and then resurrects Wuya without most of her powers. In addition to his large-scale plans that showcase his ego, he has a knack for subtlety, such as using a spy to gain information about the Xiaolin Monks and manipulating events throughout the second season. He relies on fear to keep his minions in line.
Chase is well known for his disdain for the idea that Shen Gong Wu are necessary to win battles. Even when he fights in matches for personal gain, he relies solely on his martial arts. On the few occasions where he does use Shen Gong Wu, he usually uses them to manipulate opponents as part of a larger plan. (A prime example is when he challenged Omi to a conventional Xiaolin match in The New Order. He only did this as a ruse so the other monks wouldn't suspect an alliance that was growing between him and Omi.) In short, Chase Young is someone cruel, sadistic, proud, determined, stubborn, narcissistic, somewhat hypocritical with his actions, serene, manipulative, resourceful, who takes advantage of the vulnerability of others.
Relations:
-Master Dashi: Chase's brother in the Xiaolin Chronicle series. Before and after turning evil, the two shared a good relationship, as evidenced by the fact that Chase invited him to join forces and rule the world. -Jack Spicer Jack is Chase's number one fan and considers him his evil role model. However, Chase has a very low opinion of Jack due to his idiocy and annoying behavior even though his robots and science experiments are sometimes useful. Chase sees Jack as a pawn when he really needed him. -Omi: One of Chase Young's most notable relationships was the one he shared with Omi, as he was one of the only people Chase Young respected regarding his fighting style and even helped him out when he was in trouble with other villains, such as Jack Spicer and Hannibal Roy Bean. They seem to trust each other, even though Chase intended to turn Omi to Heylin's side, and Omi intended to turn Chase to Xiaolin's side. These two seem to share a resemblance to a "father/son relationship" -Hannibal: Hannibal was perhaps the biggest threat in the universe other than Wuya that Chase Young had. He and Hannibal shared a certain teacher/student relationship at first until Chase locked him away in the Ying-Yang World. He is now Chase's greatest rival on the Heylin side and one of the only people strong and skilled enough to take on Chase Young. -Shadow: Chase Young created her from one of his ribs and took her as his apprentice. The two get along very well and maintain a good relationship. It has been hinted that he may have a crush on Shadow, he tells her that she is quite the romantic and that is what he enjoys most about her. He also told her that she is a pure delight and that she is his promise, his hopes, and his future. He hopes that one day she will rule the world with Shadow side by side. Eventually, after getting tired of his abuse.
Chase Young's Powers:
Immortality: When Chase was on the side of good, he traded his soul for a soup that keeps him eternally young, therefore his body would never age and he could never be killed. Lizard Transformation: He was once on the side of good, but later traded his soul with Hannibal Roy Bean for Lao Mang Lone soup. One effect of his soup was the ability to transform into a mutated lizard. In his lizard-like dragon form, he became much stronger and faster, even dangerous, but for some reason, he remained in human form most of the time. He once stated that this is his true form without the benefit of his soup. Heylin Magic - Chase relied more on his own physical and magical abilities and thought of the Shen-Gong-Wu as a crutch, though he had no qualms about using it to further his own ends, particularly to manipulate others. In "The Fall of Xiaolin", Chase's powers seem to have increased compared to the first series. He was considered to be one of the most powerful Heylin of his time and had demonstrated many great feats of magic such as: Lightning Generation: He could generate lightning from the sky and use it as a form of teleportation or to blind his opponents. He never used this ability in battle. [ 1 ] By producing lightning, he could enter plants and control them as well.
Chase Young's Powers:
Biokinesis: He could transform one species into another. He used this power to turn humans into animals and animals into human warriors. [ 2 ] Body Modification: He could turn parts of his body into living beings, such as when he turned one of his ribs into Shadow. [ 3 ] Teleportation: He can disappear and reappear anywhere he wants. He usually appears in an instant, but sometimes he simply vanishes and reappears behind his enemy. He can teleport with another person. [ 1 ] [ 4 ] Telepathy: He could speak, using his thoughts, with others with the same ability, such as Shadow or Salvador Cumo. Illusions: He was able to create small illusions to explain things, such as the Golden Finger. [ 5 ] Chase could also create illusions of the monks' greatest fears and make them move separately. Telekinesis: He was able to move people with his mind and by making a simple gesture with his hands. [ 2 ] [ 6 ] He also used this power to levitate candles when he was meditating.
Chase Young's Powers:
Levitation: He was often seen levitating, usually during meditation or travels around his lair, through a still unknown but likely magical means or through telekinesis.[7] Air and Fire Manipulation: He was able to manipulate the blasts of air and fire that Raimundo and Kimiko threw at him, at the same time. [ 5 ] Heylin Powers Manipulation: He was able to block most of Wuya's Heylin magic when he restored her to her human form. Heylin Memory Recall: Chase used this Heylin spell once to recall Omi's memory of swearing loyalty to him. [ 2 ] Limited Object Materialization: He could make his Kwan-Dao sword appear in his hands at any time. [ 8 ] Portal Generation: Somehow, he was able to create a portal to the Ying-Yang World without using the Ying-Yang Yo-Yo, when he betrayed Hannibal. Place Manipulation: She could manipulate the places and areas of her domain that were being watched by her crystal eyeball. She did this with The Land of Nowhere, a place found in her domain, in order to "make the monks' journey interesting."[1]
Chase Young's Powers:
Wall Walking: Has demonstrated the ability to stand on vertical surfaces. [ 5 ] Walking on Water: He has shown the ability to stand on the surface of water. He probably does this through magical means. [ 2 ] [ 9 ] Energy Blast: He could fire green beams of energy from his hands, strong enough to destroy the Temple's gate. In his dragon form, he could use them to destroy the temple and burn it down. [ 10 ] Life Creation: He could create living people as he did with Shadow, whom he created from his rib. Tiger Sense: Chase could sense an opponent without using his eyes. [ 4 ] [ 6 ] Superhuman Strength: He was able to lift a giant boulder over his head without trouble and throw it far away, as well as punch through them with a single hand, and steel. [11] In his dragon form, his strength extends to his tail, being able to swing Dojo around with it in his giant form with ease and use it to destroy the Xiaolin Temple. [10] Superhuman Agility: His agility, balance, and bodily coordination were enhanced to levels beyond the natural physical limits of even the finest human athlete, as he was able to land perfectly on one finger. [ 12 ] Superhuman Reflexes: His reflexes were similarly enhanced and were superior to those of the monks. Superhuman Balance: Chase had the ability to achieve a state of perfect balance in any position imaginable. He seemed able to adjust his position almost by instinct, allowing him to maintain balance on virtually any object, no matter how small or large and no matter its weight.
Chase Young's Powers:
Superhuman Speed: He can run and accelerate at high speeds that a human could never reach, and is able to run on walls and defeat several giant spiders at once. Superhuman Durability: The tissues in his body were considerably tougher and more resistant to physical injury than those of an ordinary human. Superhuman Stamina: Chase's musculature was capable of producing considerably less fatigue toxins during physical activity than the musculature of a normal human being. He could exert himself physically at the peak of his capacity for days before fatigue began to affect him.
Weapons and talent:
Martial Arts Master - Chase Young, who had had many centuries to hone his skills, was a legendary martial artist and Tai Chi master. Chase was one of the greatest martial artists of all time, matched in combat only by Omi, Raimundo Pedrosa, Master Monk Guan, and Grandmaster Dashi. The greatest of Chase Young's techniques is his signature, "Repulsing the Monkey", a counterattacking move invented prior to his evil release. Prior to teaching Omi, Chase was the only martial artist who knew of this technique, having perfected and kept it to himself for 1,500 years. Swordsmanship: He was an expert in the use of the Kwan-Dao sword. Master Strategist: He was a skilled strategic genius, who would often apply this skill to various objectives. He was able to come up with complex plans and strategies and apply them not only in battle but in any other situation he wanted and was able to manipulate anyone to his will using the right plan.
