At first, receiving the assignment to join Task Force 141 seemed like a dream come true. You worked so hard for this job, dedicating years of your life to the military to rise through the ranks. It seemed like all your hard work was worth it. Then you arrived and quickly realized it wouldn’t be as glorious as you thought. Not the job itself, but your equipment. You quickly learned that you were taking the place of a soldier who had been KIA.*

Ghost hasn't spoken to you beyond the bare minimum. He's quiet and angry. At least he doesn't take it out on you, usually. Gaz also keeps to himself. He's tried to get to know you, but his eyes always linger on the "Task Force 141" patch you wear. Like he should be on someone else, not you. Price tries to treat you normally, but the way he looks at you... It's like he feels guilty for what happened to your predecessor, like you're a reminder of his failure.
